This restaurant is great value at reasonable prices. Good Asian food with a slight twist here and there. Good service too.

We were lucky enough to get a table here on a busy evening. Despite the crowd, was not noisy, the food and service were excellent and reasonably priced. The wait staff were friendly and did a professional job on an extremely busy night. It was...a thoroughly enjoyable experience. And this is definitely not a bogus review!More

This restaurant was fantastic for lunch. The dumplings were the freshest, tastiest prawn and pork dumplings that we have ever had. The serve of 10 was so generous as well. The Prawn and Chorizo entree was also a hit. We were looked after so well...and everything was brought out in a timely manner, which is what we like. (Not all courses at once) It is a short stroll down from the main shops and well worth the walk. Thank you so much! We will be back to try other delicious options.More

Lunch was divine. We had the the Singapore Noodles, veggie curry and Seafood Fried Rice. Then my favourite, chocolate Fondue and Sticky Date Pudding. Jackie makes the best dumplings but we felt like a change. Love the always fresh ingredients. Absolutely tasty and great value.

Poor hygiene (glasses and plates greasy and smelt of previous food). Food VERY average. Bland luke warm noodles. Like something a 17 yo would cook in home economics. Dont believe the reviews- they are likely bogus. Recommend you avoid.

Very disappointed as had read and heard such good things . Arrived for Mother’s Day lunch and booked well in advance . Was very tight seating and table settings very basic & mismatched . Waitress was a young child who interpreted for an older lady..., the meal orders were taken by I gather the owner which was fine but not all meals (entree) received after multiple requests . We let it go as took so long to address. We all had curry king prawns but looked to me like frozen small prawns from a supermarket. Prawns rubbery and dish lacked taste. Each plate differed in taste & seemed to be watered down in some . Spring rolls nice enough but not great. We expected to have a long lunch but was so disappointed we didn’t stay after the main .More

We decided to go here due to all the positive reviews. We were so disappointed. I really don't understand how people could eat here and leave such a high rating. We ordered chicken and prawn dumplings, calamari and Char keow teow. The dumplings were served...under a huge heap of mixed lettuce like you get in bags at coles. Once we removed the lettuce to one side we found the 'dumplings.' They were like someone had run out of dumpling wrappers and decide to use flat bread instead. They were dry, shriveled up and had no flavor. Ive eaten at lots of dumplings places over the years and never seen anything like this. My husband got the calamari that looked like it was frozen calamari you get from Aldi. It was served on top of chips and with a bowl of the mixed lettuce. No dressing and there was no Asian flavors. My char keow teow was ok but again came out with a huge handful of mixed lettuce on top! There were no asian green at all. I feel so bad leaving a bad review but if you're from Melbourne where we are absolutely spoilt when it comes to asian food don't waste your time here. Not sure what the asian fusion was supposed to be but I guess tonight it was a hand full of mixed lettuce on everything.More

Excellent meal, pleasing to find that meals were 'Not' salty, which for me is an important factor, Could taste delicious combinations through out. House wine complemented our meals, of which were reasonably priced. We booked for a later time than most, so the restaurant was...less crowded, yet, Jackie, Lisa and staff were accommodating to our needs, this made for a relaxing experience. I would recommend Jackie's on Vincent, definitely ..Ten out of Ten.More

We live locally & have been coming to Jackies for over 5 years. Jackie food is always excellent. We last dined in house in early March but have had take away since. Our favorites are the Sesame Crusted Tasmanian salmon & the Slow Cooked Boneless...Goat curry. The prices are inexpensive particularly when compared to some of the other Daylesford restaurants. Wine list is mainly local wines but is good & not expensive. Sure like most other retail or food premises wait staff are hard to find and sometimes staff are learning but Jackies wife, Lisa, is always front of house & is a great help. You can either eat outside or inside. In winter by the fire is our favorite spot. They have a online ordering system for take away which is easy to use, with good photos of each dish & then you get text & email confirmation. Recommended. PS. They should really increase their prices but they open every night & probably are catering more for locals that tourists. Most of the other Daylesford "tourist" restaurants are only open Wednesday to Sunday nights.More

Make sure you book as it's busy. Great family business. Good service by parents and children alike. Meals were tasty but not very hot, just ask for extra chilly to spice it up a bit. House wine is nice and not overpriced. Don't be afraid...to try the goat curry...it's very nice. Would recommend.More

We walked into the restaurant just after 5pm, it was reasonably small and tables seemed closely spaced although there were only a few tables occupied. Wife still having concerns re catching COVID in small places decided we should order a couple of take out dishes....We ordered the Char Kway Teow, a meat and rice noodle dish and the Garlic King Prawns. Our order was ready in 15 minutes. The noodle dish, tasted ok, but did have too much rather tired and tough barbecue pork, few veg such as bean sprouts, most importantly missing the smoky oil flavour from a very hot wok. The Prawns were not king, but more "prince" in size, plentiful, we counted fourteen of them, the garlic sauce was mild and watery. I normally would not expect takeouts to be perfect as the final dish depends a lot on delivery timing. These dishes missed our expectations somewhat. Service and timing were good in this restaurant, there were two other takeout orders ready besides our at pick-upMore
