We love a good roast, and coming from Brighton we have a lot to compare by! Our roast today was exceptional, every bit of it from the Gravy and potatoes to the lamb itself. Melt in the mouth, devine, Omg, how did they cook that so good, what's their secret? Wow! Cant praise it enough. Nom Nom noooom! Thanks for... More

Having visited the Old Mill again, this time for lunch on Good Friday, the service and food was as good as we have always experienced. 3 of us with different meals and each of us were happy, and the waitress was quite happy to change the accompaniments to one of the meals. I don't know if there are times when... More

Astounded by how terrible the food was here today (25/3.) Tapas dishes, halloumi was ok, the rest was burnt, consistently burnt breaded chicken and pork belly. Mains - steak was ok, mushrooms and sauce were awful. Dripping with oil and felt sick after eating the battered fish. Such a shame, lovely venue and food used to be great.

really gone down hill in recent months. They are lucky they have little competition in EG as most the pubs are pants for food but do yourself a favour and go to The Wiremill or the little Italian in EG which are both much nicer, friendlier and value for money.

Visited for the first time in a couple of years for Sunday lunch. Service was slow and not always very attentive, the shoulder of lamb Sunday lunch was a reconstituted lump, very strange, the other diners with me all agreed although nothing tangibly wrong with the food it was all rather underwhelming. Coupled with either poorly trained or motivated waiting... More

Took my wife for an early Sunday lunch - very friendly welcome and pleasant surroundings - my wife had the salmon and I had the beef medallions with wasabi mash - We were both delighted by the quality of the food - The Harvey's best was a superb accompaniment to the meal Best decision of the day !

I called ahead as it was a last minute choice of venue. The meals did not disappoint - we started with spring rolls and pork belly bites. The spring rolls were crispy but roll outweighed the vegetables and was a bit doughy. The pork belly bites went down a treat. For mains we settled on fish and chips and the... More

We popped in for a drink as we passed by and decided to have a light bite as well from the menu. I had a panini and my wife had soup, both were very tasty and hot. The staff were excellent and ensured we were happy with our visit. The restaurant was large and spacious, and there was a good... More

My family took me to The Old Mill on 21st Feb to celebrate my 'big' birthday. We were all seated in the King's Room. The location was excellent we had privacy and comfort. Food, service, ambiance was just perfect. Loved it! Will definitely go again. Highly recommended.

Visited The Old Mill to celebrate my Mother-in-laws birthday. We were a party of 10 & the staff couldn't of been more helpful or polite. The food was fantastic (it was no bother at all to see if meals could be adjusted due to dislikes) & we were able to decorate a private area allocated to us. Thank you very... More
