Never disappoints lovely staff and very tasty food. The pedigree ale was fresh and kept perfect. We will definitely be back the next time we are visiting nearby family.

Lovely pub, nice views. Beautiful out door area. Three of the party had rotisserie chicken. It was nice, good quality. Nice choice of sauces etc. However, mine still had some string on he chicken. Which I nearly ate. I did tell our server when the plates were taken away. To which she said she was sorry and would pass onto... More

We are local to the Greyhound and often visit but things may have gone downhill of recent. Ate half rotisserie chicken yesterday and now wished that I had not a day later. I hope that this was just a fluke and can understand that chicken can be difficult to cook to be nice without over cooking.

Very disappointed. Booked a table months ago for Mother's Day lunch and informed the member of staff on the phone that we would have pushchairs and high chairs would be required. She kindly said that we would be put in the Resturant on the round table that is out of the way. I knew exactly which one she was talking... More

Dear Sarah, I'm really sorry we had to change your table. As we explained on your arrival the round table you wanted is next to a fire door. Therefore we had to move you into the bar area which has more room for pushchairs. If you would like to discuss further please contact me on 01773 832016 Regards Anthony More

Ate here recently for a quick tea after work. You can't grumble at two for a tenner. I ordered steak which was £1.00 extra. The steak was well cooked, the chips were nice too. It's not fine dining but it's good for the money, service was good and there's lots of choice.

The venue was selected by the friends we were visiting, but an excellent choice from beginning to end. Big car park, warm welcome, plenty of room between the tables, pleasant, prompt service, reasonable menu to pick from and all food well done and tasty. I liked the chicken, gammon and mustard pie; thin pastry and not too mustardy. And the... More

The Greyhound is situated on the A61 between Chesterfield and Alfreton in very beautiful surroundings. We serve the tasty Tavern Table food menu which proves to be very popular amongst customers, especially the famous rotisserie chicken, cooked fresh in house all day. Our food is served till late on weekdays and weekends, and outside a roomy beer garden, patio and children’s play area are just perfect for when you want to take five and have a sip of your favourite tipple! So please drop by the Greyhound when you can!
