The problem with Castleton is you're spoilt for choice for where to eat and in we just ran out of time to try them all, however I'm so glad we managed to include this welcomed place. Ate there on a Tuesday evening and it was...More

Have just spent three days in Castleton walking. We used the pub for food on the first evening and were so impressed we ate there the following two evenings. Good quality food, reasonably priced, excellent beer and friendly staff.

Recommended by the lovely lady in the jewellers. Under 4.0 per Head for scone jam butter cream and large coffee pot. Worth avoiding cafes and heading here

Had the bangers and mash pic n mix and it was exactly what I needed after a 7 mile hike of MamTor, so I think it was well deserved. Lovely staff made me feel very welcome.

Just looked at their website. It says they're open for food from 8 am to 9 pm. Wouldn't hurt to call to confirm.
