Our usual place to visit for a quiet beer & burger at a reasonable price although Stepping Stones was much better than expected, the food came out quickly and full of flavour! Every night of the 3 nights we ate here we left saying it...More

Although this is a chain the staff were very attentive and the food wasn't bad. My husband had fish and chips and I had a selection of starters and another night we ordered the seafood curry on curry night. Excellent value at under £8 for...More

Ate here in September 2017 whilst staying at the Travelodge next door. Decent pub grub and very fair prices, especially on drinks. Handy location and can't grumble at what you get for the money.

Food average, very slow service! Waited 30 mins between courses would not recommend. Been local this was always a very good place to come, seriously going down hill.

Raining stair rods, we had intended to eat elsewhere nearby. The Stepping Stones got an early vote due to the short walk from the car park to the entrance. Our good luck! Within five paces inside, we were greeted by smiling, professional staff, seated at...More

Mappleton restaurant that is dog friendly, whatever its size, is the Okeover Arms, if the Stepping Stones outdoor area is not suitable due to weather or temperature conditions.

What did they say? I find that even as a regular I am greeted with sour faces and bad attitudes. I think the staff need to be provided with more well-being and support if the job is so bad they take it out on customers.

I agree, service slow, food quality has deteriorated since my last visit. Avoid the pies at all cost. Cold, too much pastry, hardly any meat, and anything resembling meat is most likely gristle. You are lucky it was just the... More
