I opted for the mushrooms on toasted thick granary bread with 2 poached eggs. Absolutely fabulous served on a rustic earthenware plate. I can't recommend this place any higher, I can't wait to come try the full English.

Charming little place to eat. Great menu, excellent food and service. Nothing is too much trouble for the serving staff, and the chef is very obliging if you have special requests. Only a small cafe so it's a good idea to book on busy days.

Visited Poppies while in Ulverston for breakfast based on trip advisor reviews and we weren't disappointed. We had a very generous breakfast made with fresh local produce and huge doorsteps of toast and fried bread it was absolutely yummy. Will definitely be going back.
