I recently stayed at the Pennington hotel whilst on business in Cumbria add what a delightful place Ravenglass is,there are great seaside views and obviously the steam railway. The hotel rooms are very spacious and furnished to a high standard and the restaurant was very reasonably priced and the menu was brilliant, offering something for everyone but also unusual dishes... We stayed overnight about 10 days ago, a charming spot only part with seafront in Cumbria national park. The room was warm and welcoming a very good standard Restaurant we ate in was three doors down excellent food And a totally eccentric pub England at its quirkiest Staff delightful without exception

Smashing food, had a burger with cheese and bacon which was cooked perfectly however the bread was on its way out but was still good. The pudding I enjoyed the most, Helen the head chef is a natural and making tasty desserts!!! Defiantly come again.

From the moment the receptionist greeted us, we felt looked after. Everywhere was clean, staff smiling and friendly. Loved it here

We stay at the nearby campsite and have Eaten at the hotel a couple of times and have to say the food has always been excellent and plentiful, however we are put off by the service. On our last visit we pre booked our table with a lady on reception in the afternoon however at night there was no sign... More

I have stayed previously, there is limited choice for the area. The rooms are great, well furnished and have everything you could possibly need. We ate breakfast both days; plenty of choice and the young girl serving was pleasant, you need to allow plenty of time as service is not rushed. We did eat one evening, we explained at the... More

I went to this restaurant on Thursday 21st September 2016 and had a very pleasant surprise after being disappointed at their sister hotel down the road, we had a fabulous lunch where there was plenty of choice, the food was well cooked and delicious, and what was more to the point we were made to feel most welcome and our... On a long trek we needed an evening meal. Turned away from other restaurants, the Pennington didn't. They sorted us with a great welcome and the perfect steak. Thumbs up for the Pennington!

Smart ground floor bar and restaurant, but latter lacking in atmosphere. Food ok but nothing special. Very little choice in Ravenglass.
