Ate there twice on our recent holiday and had great meals each time. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Enormous collection of singe malts and quirky clock with each hour indicated by a different whiskey. Good kids menu with plenty of choice. Good size car park...More

Some super nice saving staff - big portions and pet friendly - do book though as they are busy and not all tables are equal - those by the log burning stove are super for warming up after a good walk.

Came here with family and friends for lunch recently. Friendly staff, ok food, dog friendly. Quite cramped inside. In the middle of nowhere so it did the job, but wouldn’t come here especially.

Very busy Saturday night but apart from a bit of a delay getting our first course the service and food were good.

Our imaginative menu, including vegetarian options and scrumptious puddings, is complemented by blackboard specials and a varied wine list. Delicious home-made food is available all day. Dining in our restaurant, bar or snug is always a pleasure. We serve real ales, treated on their journey from barrel to bar with tender loving care. These include Cumbria Legendary Ales Langdale, Hawkshead and a range of guest beers from Local Brewers such as Yates, Barngates and Ennerdale. We also have beers from many others brewers around the Country.Brook House Inn is one of the 3 hosts of the Boot Beer Festival, Boot Beer Festival is held in June every year and is one of the biggest beer festivals in the Lake District. Don't forget we also have 180 Malt Whiskies to try!
