A very long wait for breakfast but we were given a second round of hot drinks for free along with a chocolate each. The breakfasts were nicely cooked.

I've had a couple of positive visits to this place, good selection of real ales, decent carvery (cut above the Winsford Wharton park carvery) however today's visit left me underwhelmed save for the excellent cadburys flake cheesecake which at least ended the visit on a...More

We re-visited yesterday after giving them "one more chance" because the last time we went it was poor and there was hardly any food on the menu. The carvery was a joke, the "roast potatoes" hadn't been roasted or bashed leaving them like rubber and...More

Service was terrible and food average. Worst place I have ever eaten. Asked for plates to serve a birthday cake on, first 10 plates arrived straight out of the dishwasher, hot, wet and still dirty with watery gravy and veg. Asked for new plates, next...More

Once again a great carvery the server, Marvelous Mike, was very genial and made your visit enjoyable, the carvery has been improved by the present landlady with the addition of mash every day. I do think Chris deserves a pay rise?

Having not visited for some time we decided to make a return visit. The restaurant was quieter than expected so we were able to get served quickly at the bar. We both chose the medium sized carvery option on this occasion. As always there was...More

Isn't the first time I've been, but will probably be my last. To start, the tables hadn't been wiped, nor had the menus. Both dirty and sticky. The waitresses seriously need help with their communication skills. It would be a start to speak to customers,...More
