The service was professional but also very friendly. Our thanks to the chef who cooked us course after course with flavours that blew us away.

we went her as we got a package with the hotel for staying one night. The food was really good and of a high standard. The dining room was so much nicer than the other restaurant. The ambience was amazing. Roaring fire, small tables, attentive staff, wooden panelling, guitarist playing away what more could you want? The gluten free options... More

We came here for Sunday lunch at around 30 pounds each for a three course meal. Quality of food was good. Traditional setting and service with beautiful views of surrounding Cheshire countryside. My partner said the Sunday roast beef was very good. I had salmon and that was good.

We ate at the restaurant as part of a spa weekend stay. The food was very good, the fillet of beef and sticky short rib was excellent. The staff were really good, not over bearing but visible enough to assist when needed. The setting is very nice, feeling very much like your in somebody else's house which makes it more... More

We arranged afternoon tea for a party of 20. We had the private dining room which was lovely overlooking the garden. The delicate sandwiches numerous cakes and copious amounts of tea and coffee were well received by our guests. Thank you to Leanne for assisting with our arrangements and to the attentive staff who took care of us this afternoon.

We were hoping to have a high quality meal out after reading the reviews and awards for this restaurant however we were very disappointed. The beef wellington which the restaurant charge £32 for was horrendous, and whilst I hate complaining in restaurants I had to send it back as it was inedible. The manager came over and tried to explain... More

The food was excellent, good choice, great service and lovely atmosphere. My only criticism was that the restaurant was very warm. I mentioned this to the waitress and she suggested we take our dessert and coffee on the terrace. The gardens were beautiful so this was a good solution.

My mother and I called into the hotel on the 24th of July to provisionally (or so we thought) book for afternoon tea for the 14th August. The lady we spoke to at reception we found to be very helpful. She informed us that she had booked a private room for 12 people for afternoon tea, a discount would also... More
