Our first visit was for our wedding anniversary and it was excellent. The food is definitely deserving of a Michelin star. We had the three dishes for £39 menu, where there's plenty of choice of fish, vegetarian and meat courses; dessert is an extra £6 or so. The delicacies offered before the first course make starters unnecessary. My monkfish tail... More
Visited the Nelson Street Cafe a number of times. It has only got better! It is a definite must. The food is super fresh & delicious...it is very evident in the food that there is a lot of love & care from the chef to the wait staff.
Have been to Nelson Street many times and have always enjoyed it, so it was the obvious choice for the venue to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday. The food was fabulous, service friendly but efficient, and all in all a great evening with some lovely memories to cherish. Thanks to all the team for yet another enjoyable experience Dont be... More
I'd given Nelson Street a miss for quite a few months based upon previous average/good experiences. I was very pleasantly surprised and delighted by their new "choose 3 small meal" dining plan. It meant I didn't feel restricted by choice and also I was able to quickly select what I wanted. The food was expertly cooked and presented, the small... More
Had a great meal for Mothers Day. They're not normally open on a Sunday and don't have traditional Sunday fayre on the menu. You get choices of lots of smaller dishes, like a meze almost. Some of the dishes were a bit too different for our girls (9&7) but all were delicious. Wholehearted recommendation
I was in Buckingham for the weekend visiting a married couple I used to work with. We had rang a few times to book a table but got no answer, as it was only 2pm we assumed it may not be opened. We walked past the restaurant a little while later and as the front door was open we walked... More
We were in the area and came into the town centre for something to eat and we're initially enticed by the cosy looking dining room. I cannot express how good the food and customer service was. My partner has a lot of food requirements and also speaks fluent French and mixed English the waiters were exceptional and made such an... More
Definitely the most interesting food I have had in the Buckingham area. Served with flare. The Waldorf mocktail (the flavours of a waldorf salad -without the cheese) created at our table was a nice bit of theatre, and surprisingly refreshing between one of the courses. We look forward to returning.
This might just be my personal preference but every plate was way too fatty. Of course dishes will be tasty when you add so much butter and fat in each dish. Still kudos for trying to push the envelope in the Buckinghamshire area. Your menu is unique. Too bad there are not some healthier options.
