I stayed here as a guest of the condo located directly adjacent to the restaurant. Service is a bit iffy but if you're in no hurry it's kind of a hidden gem. Prices are reasonable the drinks are great but service is spotty.

We stayed next to La Lunita restaurant and ate there every day. Sometimes more than once a day. There three great things about La Lunita: you sit on the beach, the service is friendly, and the food is excellent. When we were there, the chef was from Spain and his food was delicious, and the tapas were excellent. The food... More

Delicious food, excellent service and the place is set right on the beach so you have a beautiful view during the day and wonderful under the stars dining at night.

We stayed in the condos above the restaurant. Ate here the first night we arrived and the fish was just average and not fresh. Tonight, we had our final night's family dinner. Everyone's food except mine was ok. I ordered the Pollo Bronco (Chicken Bronco) style. It started off good, but part of the way through, I ate the chicken... More

I had eaten at La Lunita before and wanted to take my daughter there since it was her first trip to Akumal. It is still delicious and a beautiful setting. She really enjoyed being able to listen to the ocean while we ate.

Hadn't been to La Lunita in a decade. It was good then but it's outstanding now. We went twice during a 5 day trip and it was spectacular. Good wine list if you need a change from margaritas but recommended having at least one. Best ceviche I've ever had - get the octopus. Perfect service. Magical views.

We were with a group of people in Akumal for a week. Ate at La Lunita for 2 dinners and one lunch. The service was amazing and the food unprecedented. We shared our appetizers and main dishes with one another. All were amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting excellent food and service. There were 13 of us... More

The four of us walked five minutes down the road from the Del Sol Beach Resort for dinner on Tuesday night. We were sat right away at a table in the sand by the water. Everybody was great and the food was fantastic. My wife and I split a burger and were very happy we did, as it was huge... More

A little more upscale in cuisine than the other restaurants in Akumal, La Lunita offers a range of different items and fusions with a creative flair. Chef Isaac is from Spain and he is amazing. The location is beautiful. You're right on the water and the staff is so friendly and helpful.

Very helpful and friendly staff. A pretty good cab ride from almost anywhere but worth it. Fish was excellent and I would go back
