I walked by on a Monday afternoon and was told it closed at 2000h, but when I went back at 1900h or thereabouts, the door was already shut. I returned the next day for a late lunch instead, and there were a few other people there, including families. All locals. The atmosphere is simple and unpretentious. I had one of... More

Today the restaurant was full. The familiar faces gave me a table and table service (bread). If you come for breakfast you must order 'nata'. I always ask for the toasted bread. The blended natural juices are also a great choice, guava and strawberry is my favorite. Besides the standard menu, you should ask for the seasonal food.

We went on a Sunday, there was a buffet available for $140MXP + beverages, it was not a big buffet, if i recall right there was 1 chicken, 1 beef, 1 pork and 1 fish dish, 2 very mediore salads, some siders and 3/4 options for dessert, don't get me wrong, despite of the few dish options, they were quite... Their traditional look and rustic location only add a better mood to the food. Their menu holds basic plates like traditional eggs, hotcakes and all natural juices but their special dishes are always a good option. During the year you can find seasonal and native food including delicious Chile En Nogada, Huitlacoche, and Escamoles, among others. The service is always... More

Not for me.. .. because I didn´t like the food I ordered, plus the service wasn´t that good. May be for you.. .. My family liked their food, and the place is in a really nice location. If you like the stone-made buildings like I do, then you´ll really like this restaurant, the rest is left on perceprion.

We had read that the restaurant had rabbit on the menu, which we like and thought it would make a nice change. We ordered one with huitlacoche and one la Fonda special mole. Both were delicious and the portions generous. Service was efficient and it was very good value. Would definitely recommend .

Looking at Tripadvisor I recommended the restaurants to the rest of our group. The last time one of us was here 7 years ago and apparently it wasn’t that good. So here we go. 4 adults and one child in Tlaxcala. Late Lunch with something more typical for here. Well, all the menu is typical so it is hard to... More
