the place is ok, but five stars for the food. if you are around Chiapas de Corzo stop by Jardines for a beef tongue tacos, something that i have not found anywhere else in CHIAPAS. traditional food is great, homeade Nachos and pig is really good. i suggest to order from the menu and skip the buffet, but is up... Ate a late lunch here as part of a tour group. Nice, attractive interior. Seemed popular with locals who were eating from a nice looking buffet. However, we were offered a very bland set menu which was not that appetising. Service was very brusque and we were charged 45 pesetas for a small glass of beer - more expensive than... More

I knew I couldn't make the buffet (279 pesos) work for me so ordered off the menu. Was well worth it, fresh nachos, fabulous chicken mole, tasty pan de elote and a sugar free agua de Jamaica. Highly recommended though as others have said, pick your time to avoid the tour busses that stop here. We were there at noon,... More

Pretty damn amazing pork dish I had, so yum and full of flavour. My partner had a mole-- he said it was okay but he's been spoiled by Oaxaca. Staff were friendly and attentive. Tad overpriced for what it is, but great setting ❤

One of the only restaurants of note in Chiapa De Corzo. Quite sophisticated and aesthetic surroundings, with good jazz playing. Plenty (too many) of surly staff constantly hovering - either disinterested or unfriendly. The breakfast on out first visit was very good although over priced. Our second visit in the morning for coffee was quite unpleasant and even more expensive.... More

Only have been here once for the buffet but loved it. Great variety and nice to be able to taste lots of different local dishes.

This restaurant is set in an old house in the center of town. In the tropics, one wants to see tropical plants -- and they abound here. Also, in Chiapas one must hear marimba music, which you will also find here. The food is Chiapanecan, substantial, tasty and attractively presented. I have eaten here often.

This is a very large restaurant a block or so off the main square. It caters for tourist buses that stop here on the way from Tuxtia airport to San Cristobal. Consequently, it is usually very crowded. The buffet is quite extensive, although probably a little expensive by Mexican standards. It is best to go for an early or late... More

This is suppose to be the best high end restaurant in Chiapa de Corzo, located one block from the square. The sad part is they only have a buffet for lunch and it's huge and expensive. We would have preferred to order off the menu, but this buffet is impressive filled with authentic food from the region. Almost everything has... More

Jardines de Chiapa has a huge luncheon buffet but it doesn't really work for people who don't eat meat. The environment is lovely. The cost of the buffet is $16.00 which I thought was high for what I was able to eat. I would only recommend this restaurant for people who eat meat and not vegetarians. It seemed to be... More
