Came to salvia Blanca to enjoy some late night bites and do a tasting of their house wines and we were blown away by the ambiance and amazing service . Omar was our server and he was very helpful and educated on all of the wines and what they would pair well with.
We had some truffle fries and the oysters were so flavorful. There was a live musician and was very talented. Definitely recommend to stop by at least for a drink if you’re staying here.

The truth is, it doesn't fail or disappoint. A well-landed proposal from a chef who cares about local, seasonal and responsible produce. We stayed at the hotel contemplacion (which was also amazing!) so we ate/drank at least half of the menu at Salvia Blanca and we were never disappointed!! The setting of the restaurant is gorgeous, surrounded by vines and a garden guests can explore. There is both indoor and outdoor seating (heaters if it's cold out). A reservation for dinner on the weekends is a must as this place books up! The service is impeccable - I cannot say enough good things about their service. We had the pleasure of meeting Fabrizio, who was our server during the length of our stay and to say he was amazing would be an understatement! He was friendly, attentive, and has an incredible ability to anticipate customers needs at all times. His attention to detail and warm personality made our experience that much better! We ate both breakfast and dinner pretty much every day at Salvia Blanca and there was nothing we did not enjoy! Some of my personal favorites were the pancakes, chilaquiles, tacos, tuetano, rock shrimp, jocoque beetroot and all of the desserts. There was also live music on the weekend and they were also incredible! I have nothing but great things to say about this place!
The only con is the dirt road once you get off the paved road (highway 3). It is very bumpy, lots of potholes and is not paved, would recommend an all-wheel drive car especially if it rained recently. We were able to get there is a sedan but an all-wheel drive car is probably

Unfortunately, our experience at Salvia Blanca today was very disappointing. We had always liked this place, and would come once or twice a year. but last week we felt completely cheated. We ordered a cut of meat that was on the breakfast menu and priced at 350 pesos (steak and eggs) but in the end, they brought us a cut that was much more expensive, without informing us of the price difference. The cost of the cut they brought us was 2000 pesos, and they didn’t even warn us about the difference in the price . To top it off, my husband didn’t love it. We ended up giving it to the dogs. We felt deceived and as though they were trying to take advantage of us. The lack of transparency and honesty is unacceptable. We won’t be returning and do not recommend this place.

I felt a little scammed ordering the aged ribeye. I ordered the ribeye and the price was marked per gram. They didn’t have different options, just priced per gram. I asked for a smaller piece of steak because I had ordered another appetizer and was by myself. The server assured me he would bring out a smaller piece and even showed me with his hands the size it would be. They brought out a very large steak that was 2-3 times the size the server gestured and ended up costing $140. I didn’t even eat half. I’m not saying the steak I got was not worth the price, I just wanted a much smaller portion and the server assured me it would be a small piece. It would be helpful if they were more clear about the sizes of the cuts of meat. Had I known the only option for the ribeye was that large and $140 I would have ordered something else. I took the rest back to my room but had planned eating other meals elsewhere and will likely not get around to eating it. Other than that miscommunication the servers were very kind.

I had dinner here during our stay and a small side of fries will cost you $20 and they are not even fresh cut fries.
The portions are small, pricey, and not great. I want to point out that we left a very good tip and when we were leaving, the table that was next to us, received blankets because it was cold and the waiter turned on the heater for them while we sat in the cold and no one offered us anything. We are returning customers and this was disappointing. We will not be coming back.

Hi Beckie. Our "TRUFFLE FRIES" does cost around $20. However, the ingredients such as white truffle, parmeggiano riguhiano and other ingredients, are why the price is $20. If you check this ingredients you will find they are very high quality. We will make sure next time we mention more details when ordering this option.
We understand as clients and as business administrators that attention to details is what makes the difference. If this wasn't your first time visiting you know usually we do our best to give out an outstanding experience. My family and I stayed 4 nights at the hotel, breakfast was included with Salvia Blanca and everything was delicious, as there were many days, each day I ordered something different and I was not disappointed even once.
Since we were going to celebrate a birthday, Jonathan contacted me to offer me a dinner with pairing (wine or mixology) and what a crazy menu, the flavors, presentation and service in general made it very clear to me why they are the best restaurant in the area , worth every peso.
If you go to Valle de Guadalupe, Salvia Blanca is a must.
I definitely recommend it and would return without a doubt.

I came to celebrate our birthday with my twin sister!
We had a super great time
They had live music attitude 38 that we enjoyed a lot on Saturday afternoon and the next morning we also returned for breakfast, super delicious chilaquiles and hot cakes and acoustic warrior music, all very beautiful, we fell in love with the place.
We ate delicious oysters starter, it's worth starting there, eating salmon and pizza all delicious.
An excellent environment, beautiful facilities and excellent treatment by all the staff; Manager and waiters very attentive.
We would love to return soon.

Wow, such food The local live band got enthusiastic responses from everyone, including us.
Will be looking into staying here in the future, an awesome location with incredible edibles.
Let's not forget The Staff. Mi esposa has dietary constraints that would cripple most restaurants. Not here. They worked with her to design a fab set of dishes that would meet her complex requirements.

My meal was good but my wife’s and daughter had really good meals.
My wife got the pancakes. $180 Mx WOW. About 3/4 thick each and 8 inch diameter and you get 3. Great taste
My daughter got the chilaquiles with pork $250 Mx very good
I got the omelette de chilaquiles. $220 Mx good but when compared to the meal my daughter had, I liked hers better. It seemed the meat flavor was diminished and the chips and eggs dominated. Still good but I suggest the chilaquiles.
Nice location for the view and building design but bad road to get to it.

Excellent service, good menu, very quiet place to spend a pleasant moment, it even has a hotel (contemplation). I recommend the house Rose wine called Hada Rosa, very good. Just one recommendation to keep in mind, there is no food menu until after 3:30pm on Sundays (we arrived at 12 noon and there was only a breakfast menu)!

We were throughly disappointed by our dinner here.
The cocktails were the highlight of our experience. The ribeye was undercooked, be prepared to pay by the gram for 30% inedible beef fat.
The pork chops were thin, dry and overcooked, the sauce dumped all over didn’t even help. The mashed potatoes had the consistency of glue and the veggies were crunch and not cooked all the way.
This place is just ok, if you do have to eat here just get a salad and a pizza.
We kept having to ask for more of everything, nobody even offered us water. The check was $72 a person, we honestly wished we had just gone to one of the more well known restaurants in the valle.
Most of the profiles writing reviews here have 1 contribution, I’m inclined to say they are fake. Avoid…

What a great restaurant. Lived up to and surpassed expectations. From the moment we parked and began walking towards the restaurant we could hear the live band playing. When we walked in the atmosphere was amazing. Our server Adriana was so kind and attentive from start to finish.
To eat we enjoyed the Aguachile Oysters which were amazing but if you don't like spicy be careful. We shared the Tomahawk entree which was incredible top 5 steaks I've ever had. It also came with so many side dishes. The mash potatoes were definitely my favorite. To top it off we were celebrating a birthday and they brought out a desert with a sparkling candle and played las mañanitas which sounds like a simple gesture but is always very much appreciated that they go the extra mile on special occasions. Would highly recommend to all my friends and family.
The Jamaica drink is also very delicious.

I was very excited to try this place out on our trip to Valle de Guadalupe. My family and I were celebrating a birthday, there was five adults. The menu looked promising, and the ambience was pleasant. However, when it came down to service, that is where it was overall lacking.
We had reservations and were seated promptly, our orders taken with good timing as well. However, once we placed our orders, we waited over 45 minutes to be served. We saw that they were busy so didn't mind. But when saw that other tables who had arrived after us being served and checked on, we became upset. I asked someone who wasn't even our waiter if our food was almost out. In about 10min after we complained, our food came out, but it was cold. This was a good indicator that they blatantly overlooked us, and no one bothered to check if we were doing fine or that our food was ready.
They did attempt to make amends with a complementary glass of wine but by then it was too late. Needless to say, that our experience was very poor and would not choose to return here.

I planned a special birthday dinner for 10 guests at Salvia Blanca, and it was the perfect end to a day of wine tasting in the Valle. The staff was helpful and responsive in answering my questions during the reservation process, and we arrived to a lovely table ready for our group - next to a large window overlooking a beautiful garden and set apart from other tables so that we had our own little area. The food was absolutely delicious - we had been there for breakfast before, but this was our first time ordering off the dinner menu. The mac and cheese was a particular stand out dish, and we also ordered the tuna tartar and tacos. Others in our group ordered the queso fundido, as well as the pizza, and everyone loved their dishes. My only critique was that there were a few misses on ordering and timing of service. One of our guests ordered a cheese plate, that was somehow forgotten and then finally delivered after everyone else was finished eating. Same thing happened with the pizza. But the staff was very gracious and I would definitely go back again. Finally, the prices at Salvia Blanca are extremely reasonable, especially considering the high quality and exquisite setting - it's a truly beautiful property and staying at the Hotel Contemplacion where the restaurant is located is high on my Valle bucket list!
