we had a lunch which was quite good and it was one of the daily specials. There was more than I could eat . The servers were pleasant. One note though is that it could use a make over as the ceiling looks as if its ready to fall down.

Great breakfast place in port elgin. Always busy on the weekends and typically a wait however the staff will offer you coffee while you wait and they have a very efficient way of keeping the flow going. They recently just added comfy booths to sit in VS just hard chairs and tables so that adds to the good experience. All... More

Local places are my choice if available. What that means, of course, is you don't know what to expect as there's not the consistency of the international chains. Early Sunday morning saw me enter with only one other couple in the place, about a half-hour after the 6am opening. I was greeted and offered coffee almost before I was seated.... More

Had heard good reviews on the hearty breakfasts, so decided to give it a try. Very disappointed in the quality of the food and the overall cleanliness. Bacon must have been cooked earlier and deep fried to warm it up, definitely wasn't freshly made. Overall it was very lack lustre and typical of a greasy spoon. Still hear folks saying... More

A great breaky, lots of home fries. Bacon done very well and tasty. The slice of musk melon was a nice touch. Clean and friendly place.

Stopped after looking at reviews on Trip Advisor. Wife ordered Whitefish and I ordered Veal. Both meals came with a Salad which arrived quickly as did our mains shortly after. The Whitefish smelled terribly and was extremely over cooked. My wife couldn't eat it so I traded my tough and also overcooked Veal with her, since my stomach is a... More

I was recently there with my family & we won't be quick to return. We had been there a few weeks before & it wasn't too bad but this time I ordered the same thing I had only a few weeks earlier. I ordered the wrap again, another with us ordered the white fish & the other the ribs. My... More

One of the best choices on the breakfast menu is the Aunt Mabel's Breakfast. All of us ordered a version of this selection, varying only with the type of meat, manner in which the eggs were cooked and the type of bread. Warning, there is a ridiculous significant upcharge for rye bread for some reason. This upcharge seems to have... More

This little restaurant attached to a highway motel is amazing! We had a delicious breakfast - reasonable-priced, generous portions and excellent service! As we were leaving, there was a line-up out the door. If you are visiting Port Elgin, this is THE SPOT for breakfast!
