This is a fun place with bags of charm. It's a diner and a bakery and a neighbourhood meeting spot. The chowders are excellent. And we didn't try them but the pies looked spectacular!

It is known for its homemade quality food. Excellent seafood choder and local favorites like fishcakes and beans. Amazing desserts (chocolate cake with boiled frosting is a favorite as well as lemon meringue pie, apple pie etc) Baked goods also for sale with local recipes for cookies breads etc.

We ordered take out and when my husband arrived home, i was excited because i normally like the food from here. The potatoes were watery and flavourless, the turnip on the plate didnt even remotely taste like turnip, there was only 2 tablespoons of... More

Lunch stop while travelling. A very busy little bakery and restaurant. The service was good and the food was excellent. I would recommend a stop here if you are in the area. I enjoyed the clam chowder.

The staff were very helpful and knew their coffee [always a good thing] their food was excellent and was served promptly. The dill pickle slice on the coleslaw was a nice twist and both the Philli steak cheese roll and the Jaws Haddock Burger we had were extremely good although the fries were fairly average. Over all a very enjoyable... More

Was recommended by a local. Very good food and quite busy as locals were nonstop in and out, getting fresh bread and baked goods.

Generous portions with bread and rolls included in the price. In our 2 visits the meals are well prepared and presented. The fish cakes are particularly good! The home baking is delicious.

Thank Mary M
