We popped in early for dinner, which was a good idea because Earle's is popular and later filled up. The next day we came back again because we were so pleased with the food and service. Lots of choices on the menu. I chose "moose" and when I talked to the young waiter it turned out he was the grandson... More

We came here after we attempted to hike Gros Morne (it was POURING RAIN), and had a much deserved meal! I had wanted to try moose burgers while we were in Newfoundland and was recommended Earl's, so good! Such a great experience, the owner was lovely and his son was running the gift shop next door (where we also bought... More

One of the best restaurants we encountered on our trip. A good selection on the menu, all nicely prepared and served. The staff is very friendly and will take a minute or two to chat with you if you ask a question. The food was excellent (fish and chips and chowder). The restaurant is clean and bright. A bit down... Home cooked meals and not so expensive as other restaurants. Earless gives you great service with a smile. The owner is a wonderful guy who wants everyone happy and his meals will make you happy because you just had a beautiful Newfoundland cooked dinner...I love it there

We even arrived after "closing" one night and the place was crowded. When we asked a server how come they were still open, she shrugged and said they couldn't turn people away.

Never saw a moose in our two week drive around Newfoundland, but had some great Moose stew at Earls! A modest sized bowl is bigger than it looks and the stew is chock full of meat, potatoes and other vegetables...wow was it good. My wife had an excellent pork chop. Great dinner, great value, great gift shop...a great dinner!

We ate inner at Earls based on a recommendation of a friend. there were 5 of us in our party. 2 had ordered the moose stew and I had ordered the cod tongues. After the order was taken by the owners wife, as an afterthought we ordered an appetizer of toutons. They were delicious, my wife who was having them... More

It's a good sign when a restaurant is always busy, and there are line-ups out the door. We ate at Earl's the two nights we stayed in Rocky Harbour. The menu is varied, including home-style Newfoundland dishes, and home-made desserts. The fish & chips is among the best we had anywhere; the moose pie was not what I had expected,... More

Located just up from the centre of Rocky Harbour, Earl's is a very popular restaurant not only with the tourists but with the locals. Arriving after 8pm, I still had to wait for a table--spent time looking through their store adjacent to the restaurant. The food was well prepared, adequate in potion and served by a friendly staff.

Ate dinner here twice during a stay in Gros Morne. Pretty good and always busy - but there aren't a ton of options! We had takeout fried chicken one night, which was adequate (hard to go wrong with fried chicken). Another night ate in and had seafood, all OK. Good pies. friendly service, but can be slow as is usually... More
