Gave it 2 stars for location. The staff seemed annoyed and impatient and the food was sub-par (Certainly was not fresh as advertised), and food was overpriced (IMO). My wife and I visited Rocky Harbour for a few days and decided to try multiple local restaurants and this was by far our least favorite. I had fish cakes (which were... More

Went here for lunch. The soup and sandwiches were all fresh and "homemade". The restaurant is clean and the service was prompt and friendly. The prices were reasonable considering this is a tourist town and does most of its business in the summer.

So quaint & had a great seat next to the window with a spectacular view. The best part is that the seafood bake was wonderful, had such great flavor. Also leave room for desert. The boiled raisin cake covered with rum sauce was phenomenal. All homemade and such friendly service too!! Will definitely go again when back in Rocky Harbor.

We went there for breakfast. It was adequate. The eggs were done right, but if you are expecting potatoes done on the griddle - home fries - don't order the hash browns. They are just squares of potato that are deep fried. Not a fan.

we were hiking in the morning so by the time we got to town for lunch it was 330pm. Luckily the Sunset was open and the staff/owners were very accommodating. I had the special which was the Seafood Linguini which tasted fine but you could tell that the sauce had been sitting for too long taking on that thick consistency;... More

We were staying in a campground nearby and visited this restaurant twice for breakfast. It was so good! Nice and hot, and very tasty. Great clean little restaurant.

Our family of 5 went there twice while in Rocky Harbour. The service was good, the food and price were reasonable for the tourist area. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast :)

I had the special of the day which was cod o'gratin. It was so yummy good comfort food on an extremely foggy day I am still thinking of it a week later. The server we had was very helpful with our questions about the Western Brook Pond tour as she use to work for the tour company.

We went for dinner at the Sunset restaurant based on a recommendation in a book on Newfoundland and a tip from a local. Both of them were right!! Sunset is small and simple, but cozy and friendly at the same time. It can get crowded in season, so be sure to reserve!! The staff was very warm and inviting, and... More
