This is a basic diner. The food usually is on the greasier side of choice and is a standard fare. Nothing special. Nothing bad. Can't say much more.

Four of us decided to eat at the Big Stop for supper last night, despite me telling them I had heard negative reviews of the place lately. Love the renovations by the way. Our server was prompt and friendly, brought us drinks right away and gave us a few extra minutes to decide. Upon returning, we each ordered our meals,... More

The only good thing is the service. The food is terrible. Had a western sandwich. Burnt toast, burnt eggs, no peppers on sandwich, only egg, onion and ham. And that was $7.00. I noticed other meals coming out and all toast was burnt for others.

Located right on the Trans Canada Highway. This place is better than the average Truck Stop. The food is good and reasonably priced and the staff outstanding. There is a gift shop on site also. You do not have a lot of choice on this highway so try it.

After a long flight from Alberta, our family was hungry. My wife and I had the fish and chips, two kids had grilled cheese and French fries and my mother had hot roast beef sandwich. The food was quickly served, tasted great and the waitress was attentive and can't around several times to see if the food and service was... More

Average food, good service, clean. But there are not a lot of options in Deer Laker for sit down food.

Irving big stops have been a favourite of mine while travelling due to offering all day breakfast, home style meals coupled with great prices. This location has those benefits plus a new modern atmosphere and an improved menu. The food was fast to arrive to our table. Service for this visit was great!

Had dinner here 2 different nights during our stay in Deer Lake. Both myself and my husband were happy with our meals. Bright, clean and very pleasant staff.

Had a western sandwich. Toast burnt, no mayo, burnt egg, onion and ham, thats it, no green peppers or mushrooms. $6.89 plus 15% tax for that. Tea was $2.19 plus tax. Husband had hot chicken sandwich, tiny bit of gravy, fries like rubber as they were cooked over that many times, and chicken was had to chew, just like rubber.... More

I was here twice in the week I was home. The restaurant is big and bright and clean. Good value for your money. I had the turkey club wrap with a ceasar salad both times, it was so good and a good size. They have the typical kids menu which includes meal, drink and an ice cream . We never had... More
