If you drive down the Boavista Peninsula on this side, make some time to drop into this small Cafe and the Craft Shop next door. If no one is in the store, go over to the cafe and visa versa. This is mostly a one woman operation from meal preparation, service, cleanup, cashier and craft shop salesperson. We had the... More

We were driving to Bonavista and stopped at the Bonavista Social Club only to find it only open Wed. to Sun. off-season. We ventured on and spotted Susie's. What fun we had in this tiny restaurant at the side of the road. Food was good-great clam chowder full of clams, good portion of pan fried cod and delicious fish cakes.... More

We really enjoyed our meal at Susie's. This tiny restaurant offers simple, home-cooked, tasty meals and friendly service. We had the fish cakes, and they were very good. Worth a visit!

I had clam chowder(liquid broth), cod tongues (oily) and snow crab (sweet and sumptious). Seafood is fresh. Seating for about 12 indoors. Helpful advice offered to tourists. Cash only!!

My husband & I love Susie's for being genuine, cozy, home-y, local & real. Always good music & a few chuckles thrown in for good measure.

Susie's Cafe is a unpretentious roadside cafe a few kilometers south of Bonavista; excellent local food served - fresh fish and berries, etc.It is closed during the non-tourist season

Susie's is a cute place by the side of the road where you can get a pretty good meal in a friendly super-casual setting. Be sure to stop here if you're hungry when driving between Bonavista and Port Clarendon because there is almost nowhere you'll find anything to eat over that stretch of highway.

Suzie's isn't gourmet, but offers a good opportunity to eat the local seafood at reaonable prices (about $15 for a seafood entree like crabcakes or crab au gratin). It's a very small, personable restaurant, and I wouldn't eat here if I was in a big hurry. But it's the kind of restaurant most tourists are probably looking for -- "authentic"... More

After nearly 10 days of travel in NL we almost gave up hope of finding a traditional road-side seafood cafe with fresh local catch. (There are surprising few places in northeast NL still offering "off-the-dock" fish and shellfish.) Then, late lunchtime, we spotted Susie's, a small, quaint and well kept cafe with a sign advertising "fresh catch, including snow crab."... More
