Ordered cooked lobster on Saturday May 13 and took back to our cottage. It was VERY salty, so much so that we could not finish it. Maybe we got a bad lot, don't know, but it was an expensive non-meal ($74). Shop was closed by the time we ate and was not open when we left early in the am,... More

Wow. Traveled down a road I had never been in Alma. Discovered this place. If you love seafood you must visit. Fresh lobster and lots of other seafood. Gifts and treasures to boot. You can eat in or take out. They will even crack your lobster, warm it up and serve it with butter. Very pleasant surprise.

This was the first lobster dinner of our east coast tour. Our nine year old loved it! We ate at the picnic tables outside. It was a chilly evening but still a good time. The staff were nice and lobster was huge! Best lobster dinner we had on the trip.

I had heard about this place from a tourist book. It was easy to find with their 2 large signs on the main road through town. The place is definitely authentic seafood where you can pick out your fresh catch. You eat outside at their picnic tables and they bring out your order for you. I had the lobster roll... More

I only passed through Alma once but I can't wait to come back to this amazing little village. Here in Ontario, we heard about the capture of this lobster and said it would be horribly sad if they didn't set him free. I can only say how happy I was to stumble across the article that said that is exactly... More

Best. Lobster. Ever. On a trip through the Maritimes, we ate lobster, lobster rolls, lobster mac and cheese--all things lobster--in every town we visited. So we fancy ourselves somewhat expert. The lobster at the Alma Lobster Shop was so sweet and tender--like no lobster we had ever had before or since. Truly the ne plus ultra. If you find yourself... More

Simply outstanding ! Huge racks of lobster on ice... Huge selection, including lobsters in the 3+ pound range... Often o many tourists snapping pictures that it takesd a bit of time to be served. If you LOVE lobster - this is the place for you. Believe me - they taste nothing like the ones back home
