It took a bit to find the place but it was enjoyable once we found it. Situated in an old house(?) in a rural area about 15 minutes outside Parksville, there were nice pastoral views from the antique windows and it felt very much like a British pub with its low ceilings, uneven floors and large fireplaces. The food was... More

Really like the ambiance but staffing is not consistent. Just let our fav bartender/server go. Cyan was awesome. When they are on the food is great.

This place is a little bit out of the way, on a country road, but nearly everybody and his dog has GPS, so it's more accessible than the last time I was here. The ambiance is old-school UK pub, and there are no giant TV's blasting out inane hockey games or on-line gambling. We sat next to the fireplace, and... More

We went for our anniversary dinner and it was lovely. Old country atmosphere with a crackling fire and great service. The food was hearty and hot. All round lovely. The dining area is set apart from the pub and very cozy.

Very nice pub with great variety of food for everyone. The roast beef dinner is great with good Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes. The bread and butter pudding is just amazing!!! This is a very friendly and welcoming pub with great atmosphere and pleasant staff.

I have been to this pub several times. Well, a bad start when I parked in the parking lot and the walk from car to the front door was thick ice! For goodness sake put some salt on it! I was with a group of 19 people. After 2 confirmations of our reservation, we get there to find that the... More

Just driving by and noticed the sign, made a quick turn in, opened the door to what looked like a large old farmhouse, we're greeted by a very friendly lady who led us to a cosy table in front of an also friendly wood-burning fireplace, we're quickly served a cold beer followed almost as quickly by a hot bowl of... When we went for lunch the place was empty. Food was okay as was the service. Price was a little high. Nothing outstanding, the place was clean and I would return.

Very rundown inside. Food was fair. Just not a great experience. If you're there for a fund raiser, like beer and burger night is works just fine but there are better places to go for food and drink experience in the area.
