#4? Not even. Absolutely nothing inspired about Copper Penny. The hostess was sweet and helpful and our waitress was a joy, but the place is loud and the food is completely uninspired and ordinary. There are better places to drink and much better places to eat. We shared nachos and wings. Nothing special about either. Nachos were made with liquid... More

Heard food was great and the appetizers certainly were. Enjoyed the place, but our server lacked social skills. Still worth checking out.

Brandon and Danne at the bar were very hospitable and a great first experience for us in Wilmington. We ate at the bar - garlic wings and fish n' chips and both were very tasty. Easy place to go to over and over and their business showed it. Great for families too.

Copper Penny has really good pub food, good beer selection, and vibrant pub atmosphere. Check their website for weekly events like trivia night, etc. Sundays during football season they are an Eagles bar so be aware!

This is one of my go-tos as a local. They have great wings and sandwiches! The 109 Chestnut Chicken Sandwich is the best!

Downtown Wilmington is packed full of great places to eat! Well, add this place, Copper Penny, to the list of greats! Be advised, it's Pub Food, not Fine Dining. You want a great burger or a great sandwich and a beer or drink, and not to $$$ then drop by and give them a try. We went last night, party... More

Arrived on a very crowded Wednesday evening and were offered the one seat outside. Our order arrived reasonably quickly, considering the crowd. Both of our sandwiches were delicious: the crab cake sandwich and the pork panini. The sweet potato fries were the best we've ever had. Their sign speaks the truth: this is NOT your average pub grub!

By local, I mean a local restaurant. We arrived before the rush, there was quite a line to get in as we were leaving. I had a southwest burger and it was very good. The chipotle mayo was great. Expect about $11.99 for a meal before tax as of May 2017. Most everything was about this price.

Wilmington is full of great restaurants! Copper Penny has it all...great food, great beer, and great service. We started with sweet potato fries and they were terrific. I found there are two choices for sweet potato fries, either they know how to cook them and they are great or they don't know and they are awful. Fortunate Copper Penny knows... More
