We like the Country Squire and decided to do our birthday dinner there. The meal, the service, the atmosphere could not have been any better. We dined on the NY Strip and the Filet. The Strip was excellent, but frankly the filet was out of this world good. This is not the first time the filet has been first rate... More

Had a steak dinner in an old restaurant/inn from the 1700's. They bring the meals out in an old frying pan, which is neat. Restaurant is great for large groups as well as for singles or couples.

Had a nice dinner at Country Squire. What a great older restaurant that has such charm and character. Sad to say it's to find restaurants like this anymore. They served when you come in plate with olives, carrots, celery and pickles along with a dip and crackers. Very old school. My prime rib was very good with baked potato. They... More

A friend and I met here for wine tasting. It was during a period of the day when they were not serving food, so we can't comment on that, but I can't imagine it wouldn't be fantastic. What a unique venue. As we were leaving, the parking lot was filling up for the dinner crowd.

This is a neat old country restaurant set in an old 1700's era inn. Most of the complex is younger than the 1700s, but the entry area, and the wine tasting area dates back to around 1763, or so. Some windows, and parts of the floor are original. It's really nice, if you like nice old country type places. Plus,... More

Love the food, love the atmosphere, love the service. Have always enjoyed this place. They also have a great wine tasting area to sample their unique flavors.

The Squire is one of our favorite restaurant in NC. We always try and dine there when we are visiting family in Duplin County. On this visit it was SW's birthday dinner outing. We had a party of five. Made reservation earlier in the day; at arrival we were seated right away. The service and food were outstanding. The salads... More

The inn, winery and restaurant were perfect for what my husband and I were looking for. The grounds and vineyard are beautiful. The theme of the place, country scottish, was beautiful, very different from anywhere we have visited before. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable! I cant recommend this place enough.

My family and I have been going here for years. Many prom dinners I have had here. It's an old rustic feel, and a very nostalgic place for me. The Korean beef is tops, and the steaks are delicious medium rare. Feels almost spooky and medieval in there sometimes!! ^_^

Our family of 4 arrived at 5:15pm on a Saturday evening. It took 1 hour and 5 minutes from the time we ordered to the time we received our meals. Ridiculous! Right before our meals arrived, the family sitting behind us, which was seated 10 minutes after we were seated, were already filling up their takeout boxes. Ridiculous! My wife... More
