You can count on Shuckers to be packed. Wake Forest isn't huge but it has a bunch of good eateries and the fact that this is the one you can't get into tells you how good it is. Good wine and beer selections (beers mostly NC local, and very good too) and then there's the seafood. Superb seared salmon. A... More

It's rare to find a good restaurant where the food is good enough to satisfy adults and pre schoolers' palates. Shuckers has found that balance. The seafood is superb. My Crab Cakes held themselves together with sheer determination. No need for fillers. The mac and cheese was to die for. Service is good. Prices are reasonable.

I went to Shuckers to celebrate a friend's birthday. The 8 of us had a great time. The service was outstanding. The menu offers a variety of dishes to meet everyone's dietary needs and the prices were quite reasonable. I enjoyed the food, the ambience, and the service. Be aware that the parking lot fills quickly.

The wasabi encrusted tuna is amazing! The meal starts with yummy hushpuppies. The bar area can be very crowded on a Sat pm while you are waiting for a table.

We had oysters, Crab Dib and hush puppies for a late lunch. Delicious! Service is great as well. The stuffed Mahi for dinner is awesome and adult Mac and cheese.

We've been going to Shuckers since it was a shack beside US 1. Great shrimp, best seafood Chowder in town and wonderful hush puppies. Service was a bit slow but the food was good.

I hadn't been to Shuckers in a few years and I never had any complaints. This time the breading for my scallops and oysters seemed to be too salty. I was not able to finish eating them. In addition, my seafood didn't taste like fresh seafood. My friend and I ordered the large seafood platter but, the portion on his... More

The industrial atmosphere is modern and cold feeling. The food is anything but. Shuckers is more expensive than most of the places in Wake Forest but the food is worth it. We have never had a bad meal. Our favorites include the crab dip and crab soup. We order at least one of them every time we go.
