We decided to go to Native Kitchen & Social Pub for the Britten Olinger fundraiser. First of all I want to thank you for being so generous to such an amazing family! It was a great atmosphere... inside and outside. Our server did her best even though it was so busy! Brussels sprouts were delicious! Barbecue pizza was fantastic and... More

I had dinner at native on Valentines day and had such a wonderful experience! Not only was I able to support Youth Outright, but my dinner was absolutely delicious and the service was by far the best in town! Thank you so much and I will definitely be back!

Great dinner. Had classic burger and fries. Wife had blackened shrimp. Both were very good. Good courteous service.

Looking for a Sunday evening dinner near Black Mountain after hiking and decided to try Native. Started with the brussel sprout appetizer. Generous serving -- thank goodness or my husband would have devoured them all before I got back from washing my hands and he's not that crazy about brussels! These are addictive. He liked is Autumn pizza pie and... More

So far, this is best place in Swannanoa we have found. Good beer and well kept. Food very good, except fries are a bit over-salted and the grouper was decidedly not fresh. Mega proportions, take home a box.

The food is by and large REALLY good, but the overall experience is lessened by confused service. Drinks took a long time to come out. Entrees came out BEFORE appetizer (after another long wait). They "found" our appetizer (Brussels sprouts are amazing!) but entrees came back out too quickly. Second round of drinks finally came out as we were finishing... More

I went here for lunch and was more than pleased. My favorite was the braised brussel sprouts. Who knew brussel sprouts could taste so good!

Visited the Native Kitchen on a Thursday night and could not understand why the large parking lot was so full. After an amazing, reasonably priced dinner I understand! I had a flavorful shrimp gumbo, while my lady love ordered the red snapper, both of which we raved about on the trip home. Our server, Rich (?) was attentive and knowledgeable.... More

Stopped in last night on a Trip Advisor suggestion. I love local places like this. It was spacious, clean, cooly decorated, and the staff was as friendly as could be. If that isn't enough, the food (I had the jumbo shrimp brew) was outstanding and there were numerous microbrews on tap. Very close to the Asheville East KOA and well... More

We stopped for a quick dinner with a friend who lives nearby and were very pleasantly suprised by the quality of the kichen's offerings. I particularly recommend the Fresh NC trout, which was served with a meltingly delicious risotto and brussels sprouts.

Description
Native was started by two North Carolina couples who recognized the need for sustainable food practices, and a responsibility that we all share when it comes to our soil, water and air. We believe strongly in supporting farming techniques, which are sustainable, organic, and regenerative. These local farms restore the fabric of rural communities, decrease water and air pollution, preserve and build topsoil and produce wonderful crops. The foods they deliver to our tables are high in nutritive value and are without chemical residue. Our support to these dedicated farmers yields healthier ingredients that strengthens our sense of local community, builds our local community and, most importantly, it is a vital step toward protecting these resources for future generations. It is important to us that we not only provide local food, but that we strive to support our local breweries, artists, musicians and community. Native is a gathering place to celebrate our local culture, and we hope that you enjoy your visit with us!
