We got lunch for four to go. We are from bar-b-que land and this was some of the best I have ever eaten! We got white slaw and it was good also. The fries were still hot when we got to eat them & they were kinda small cut-VERY GOOD!

I like BBQ. I like all kinds of BBQ. I really like the North Carolina type of BBQ that uses a vinegar based sauce, and Smithfield has one of the best. We stopped here for lunch. I was with two friends that had never had this type of BBQ, and they were really impressed. As a bonus, we had the... More

Stopped for something to eat after a long drive. The chicken and b-b-q were very good, the Brunswick stew excellent. The service was well above average, so you wanted for nothing. A definite keeper for travelling.

Went here and this was the worst place ever. Don't understand how this has such a high rating, my guess is family and friends. Food was disgusting, there was a hair in my chicken, waitress laughed when I told her. Service was awful, took forever to get a drink and they were very rude. I would never in a million... More

The staff at this establishment seem to not care about the customers or their job, the place was filthy and the bathrooms appeared to be untouched judging by the excrement both on the walls and the floor. Unfortunately, food had been ordered so after a quick bite to offer an honest critique, it's safe to say that it was awful.... More

I own a small business. If my employees disrespected anyone, especially the officers that service and protect our community. The employees that did this would be fired. My office is near the Poole Road location. I will make sure that on Monday my employees know about this situation and encourage them not to eat here. It is a shame because... More

Was in NC visiting family and decided to try this place. The BBQ is true southern style. It's pork without the sauce, you add it. They have a vinegar style sauce but I went with the sweeter, thicker style. I thought it was just so-so but hubs loved it. He also loved the side dishes of baked beans and potato... More

Stopped in Smithfield/Selma on my way down to FL and had a great dinner (white combo meal). Huge chicken breast and wing, juicy and tender. Best chicken in a long time. Meal also comes with NC style pork BBQ which was very tender, hush puppies and 2 sides. Great meal and at a great price. Staff very friendly, we will... More
