I have never had a bad item at this location. The desserts are to die for. Two concerns: Their hours are quite limited and the parking is atrocious. The restaurant is in an old house, which is part of its charm, but it is really cramped.

Don't let the "tea room" part scare you guys off. They have good, healthy food that even guys I know admit they enjoy. It's a great place to have a shower or birthday party (upstairs) and feels very down home yet elegant. That's hard to pull off. I love their desserts, you've got to sample one. I normally never get... More

A fantastic spot for a hearty lunch in Sanford. Although very busy, the service is quick and with a great smile. It is only open for lunch hours, and not on Sunday. The food is great and prices very reasonable. It will fill you up.

Wow excellent service and food. This old house ambience was great . We recommend the shrimp chowder and loaded backed potato.

It is a local favorite, nothing special about atmosphere, but very pleasant wait staff and very good food, Always full, so you may have to wait.

Mrs Lacy's is a wonderful stop for a special lunch. We took my 85-year-old mother, 4-year-old niece and two teenage boys on a school holiday. Everyone had a nice time ((Granny and the little one) had a "tea party" with hot tea, followed by a good lunch and wonderful desserts. The Hershey's cake is famous around here, but you can't... While we loved our sandwiches here, the desserts are amazing! Our favorite is the Victoria's Secret! Also love the cute glasses they give you for the lemonade. Everything was great here and are planning to come back soon!

We have been here several times and they have it set up like a Victorian tea. Antiques and lovely period furniture. They have awesome sandwiches and salads and it is popular place for lunch. We have not been here recently but will return in January. Reservations are a good idea as the rooms are small and fill up fast.

This is a typical, elegant eatery with the Southern hospitality charm. The food and the service is excellent. I've been here with family a couple of times and the quality is superb. A little lacking on the parking arrangement though.
