We have had our office party here a few times and I haven't been greatly impressed. The food is okay but the staff at times are on edge with bigger crowds. I can understand sometimes groups can get overwhelming. Prices are a little high to me based on the food. Personally I do not eat shrimp and grits but everyone... More

I have not had a bad meal yet at the Steele Pig! My favorite to date is the Fried Green Tomato BLT! They prefer reservations and you can always wait at the local bar next store, Joe's! They will come get you, there is no little buzzer to carry around! The atmosphere is great, the service is always good and... More

Outstanding food. Food choices dependent upon Winter or Spring menu. Great shrimp and grits! Friend oysters on winter menu, extremely large bone in pork chop. Good selection of craft beers and bourbons. Good food takes time, meals prepared to order, well worth the wait. Let the staff know if planning to attend Temple theater production that evening, need to plan... More

The service and food was very good. They greet you when you enter, seat you promptly, and seem very eager to please. The prices are reasonable except for the wine. Limited selection, very small serving, and expensive. The ambience is comfortable, and overall a very pleasant experience.

We had a date here and had a delicious chocolate dessert and coffee. It's very affordable to have dessert here, but we have eaten meals here on special occasions and the prices are reasonable. The food is very good.

POSITIVES Friendly staff. Pleasant ambiance. Good service. Food was mostly good, even the misses clearly had been freshly prepared using fresh ingredients. The owner / proprietor believes in the farm-to-table concept when practical. High point of the meal for all three of us were the starters. The fried grits (a first for me despite my Southern heritage) with pork belly... More

This is restaurant that serves southern food with some interesting quirks. Menu is limited, but I've generally found something that interested me. Worth a visit to see what you think.

I appreciate atmosphere when I dine, not dark rooms. Southern BBQ is a favorite dish so when I seek out BBQ I have a myriad of comparisons and expectations. This experience was average, nothing great and I will not return unless someone insist. A tad better than the chain Smithfield Chicken and BBQ, prices were more than the chain but... More
