Great selection on offer for takeaways but somewhat different if looking for a standard breakfast. I ordered scrambled egg on toast, my wife a slice of bacon on toast, with coffees accompanying. Soon afterwards we were advised that we couldn't have either as the cafe was not using plates due to Covid. I settled for an egg and bacon burger, my wife a bacon toasty. I enjoyed my burger and finished half my wife's dry toasty. Coffees were the standout.

Old style bakery/cafe in York's main Street.
They have a great variety of pies, pasties, quiche, rolls, sandwiches, cakes and pastries. All at reasonable prices.
No tables inside, but they have a few tables and chairs on the footpath.
The beef and pepper pie was great

Had lunch here after a day trip from Perth.
No where inside to sit so we had to venture down the street on a park bench which was not a problem. However if there were tables inside we would have had drinks and dessert so I think this is a mistake.
The pies were delicious and very full of meat. Well done.
After a walk we were still a bit peckish so went back for some Bahn Mi. This was a mistake as was not good at all. The bun was like powder and the pork just sliced from a deli, not bbq like it should be. Very disappointed.
Would recommend sticking to the pastries as they were amazing.

Absolutely Fabulous . Only one of two places open on public holiday to buy breakfast ! Can you believe that ? Hundreds of people in York for a jazz festival and no hotels or cafes unbelievable .
The bakery has great food and lots of it Lots of variety of hot and cold food pies are soo good as are the cakes . Hard working people working long hours they deserve to do well .
Need more tables to sit and eat .

Great value, the only problem is there aren't many tables to eat at. Grab something to eat, then head down to the park by the river, if you can. Can recommend: rice paper rolls, zucchini pie, custard cake, vanilla slice, florentines, pasties (pretty much, everything)

We stopped in York, Western Australia to go to The York Motor Museum. The Nguyen Bakery cafe was right next door so we stopped there for lunch. It was a small place that served sandwiches pies and soft drinks, etc. We all got sandwiches and sat at a table on the sidewalk in front. Everything was ok but not outstanding.

Good coffee & bakery products, and a sweet little outdoor street seating area.
We left a laptop bag behind, and the owners went to a lot of trouble to track us down.
They deserve your patronage.

Friendly service and good coffee. Amazing range of cakes. Tried breakfast toasties and bacon and egg roll which were good. (Wouldnt make one to order without butter). Not much seating.

It is a very small bakery with a few tables outside. Just to grab a pie or something light if you are in a hurry. Food is not bad.

Bought two sandwiches at lunchtime. Tasteless, bland and overpriced. Cheap bread with very little ham and cheap cheese slices and a bit of lettuce $26.80! Never again.
