It is a very small bakery with a few tables outside. Just to grab a pie or something light if you are in a hurry. Food is not bad.
Friendly service and good coffee. Amazing range of cakes. Tried breakfast toasties and bacon and egg roll which were good. (Wouldnt make one to order without butter). Not much seating.
Great value, the only problem is there aren't many tables to eat at. Grab something to eat, then head down to the park by the river, if you can. Can recommend: rice paper rolls, zucchini pie, custard cake, vanilla slice, florentines, pasties (pretty much, everything)
Love their pies and pasties. We normally pick up something here if we're going to sit in the park overlooking the water.
On main street a 3 min walk from our motel open early 5am even on Sunday for coffee/breakfast/limited seating but takeaways available
Absolutely Fabulous . Only one of two places open on public holiday to buy breakfast ! Can you believe that ? Hundreds of people in York for a jazz festival and no hotels or cafes unbelievable . The bakery has great food and lots of...it Lots of variety of hot and cold food pies are soo good as are the cakes . Hard working people working long hours they deserve to do well . Need more tables to sit and eat .More
Had lunch here after a day trip from Perth. No where inside to sit so we had to venture down the street on a park bench which was not a problem. However if there were tables inside we would have had drinks and dessert so...I think this is a mistake. The pies were delicious and very full of meat. Well done. After a walk we were still a bit peckish so went back for some Bahn Mi. This was a mistake as was not good at all. The bun was like powder and the pork just sliced from a deli, not bbq like it should be. Very disappointed. Would recommend sticking to the pastries as they were amazing.More
Bought two sandwiches at lunchtime. Tasteless, bland and overpriced. Cheap bread with very little ham and cheap cheese slices and a bit of lettuce $26.80! Never again.
Seemed to be the only cafe open for breakfast on a Tuesday morning just after 8am. Delicious cheese and ham croissant which was very reasonably priced, but the coffee was weak.
Was in York for the motorcycle festival. Great coffee and delicious cakes and pastries. Excellent service too.
Worth the stop if you’re into your baked treats...3 out of 4 family members are gluten free so we had to just watch with green eyes as Dad inhaled his custard slice!
This is a very busy cafe and no wonder - the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The meat pies are delicious!
And good value. Friendly staff. Right in the main street so convenient. Good selection of food and drink.
The lamingtons are so light and fluffy (did I mention huge?) and the sausage rolls (also big) were moist and flavorsome. Good value for money and friendly service
