Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This popular stop over was pretty crowded when we called on late on a Monday morning. Although the safe WA QR codes were prominently displayed, most people ignored them. Meals and drinks, including alcoholic beverages, are ordered and paid for at the counter. However, on the day we were here the queue for food and drinks was about 10 yards long.

The cafe is located within the Williams Woolshed, which also includes a number of stalls selling all sorts of generally upmarket items but with a focus on quality (and expensive) Australian-made apparel, mainly woollen. The place is strategically located about 2 hours out of Perth, perfect for a coffee break and a chance to stretch the legs. The cafe is one where you queue at the counter, order and pay and take a table number. The queue was quite long but moved along reasonably quickly, so that wasn't too bad. It was what happened after ordering that caused most concern. Maybe they were stretched that day, but it struck me service was all over the place. Two of our party ordered scones with coffee; the waitress arrived with two plates of scones but one was for another table. She had to be reminded later we only received one set of scones. The barista looked to be flat out, but the coffees seemed to be mounting up, waiting to be delivered to the tables. I was watching the whole process. So, by the time my coffee arrived it was barely warm. For the record, also thought it could have been stronger. One positive thing, one of our group had the nachos which he reported as excellent!

Reuben was not spelled correctly. It was overdone, oversalted and served with salty potato chips - might be acceptable to some but I found it just over the top. Insipid 3 shot mac - more like coffee flavoured milk. Please teach your signwriter to use apostophes correctly. An apostrophe only denotes a plural for single letters (e.g. a's b's etc) not for sandwiche's and cake's...

We stopped here en-route to Albany. The food was delicious & reasonably priced. We all had sandwiches & wraps, priced between $8-15. Burgers are around $20. Toilets, small play area & local boutique shops. Highly recommend.

Writing a review in these troubling times of Covid 19 is interesting. The Shed has closed off some tables and spaced others so there is 2 to 3 metres between customers. Had a very nice eggs benedict and a barista coffee for breakfast. Good quality, good value and a nice venue. Toilet was very clean. Great place. Next time i drive down Albany Highway this is a for a stop. Loads of gluten free options.

I enjoyed the setting and range of food available. The coffee, caramel slice, and vege burger and chips were all great. Service was appropriately timed even though it was quite busy.

This cafe is situated inside the wonderful Williams Woolshed which is worth a visit in its own right. Reviewed separately. The cafe is always busy and inevitably with longish queues. The good news, though, is that the staff normally get through the queues very efficiently. There's a nice range of cakes and savoury dishes available from the display cabinet as well as more substantial dishes from the menu. Cakes, scones etc are always fresh and seemingly cooked on the day. Prices are typical of good cafe food which this is. Lots of seating available and staff are all very friendly. Recommended as the best stop in Williams.

This place is awesome! Well priced and huge portions, and so tasty! Both meals $16 each. Would go back just to get some of their chips, they were 10/10. Also loved getting to look around the cute shops while we waited. Great pit stop.

Not really half way to Albany, but it feels as if you're halfway there when arriving at Williams from Perth. Good food, interesting shops and helpful toilets and wifi here all make it a good pitstop. Food is generally good, although perhaps a little overpriced. Decent coffee available too. The shops are nice to browse in, but some of the merchandise is very expensive - maybe pitched at a tourist market? I routinely stop here each trip, if only to stretch my legs, and recommend it for others.

beautiful cafe located right in the high way Great stop over for breakfast and lunch. I had worked in this cafe back in 2004 and it’s a thriller of an experience to be part of this cafe and also to taste its delicacies.

We stopped here on the long drive to Albany a couple of weeks ago. We wanted a simple snack in the minimum of time so we could get back on the road quickly. There was a queue to order but the management kept things moving and within no time we were comfortably seated and enjoying our lunch. The food was simple and tasty and the coffee hot and good. We were back on the road in no time feeling replenished. In addition to this good experience, I realised some days later that I had left my jacket in the cafe. One quick call to the manager and he not only located it for me but also posted it back free of charge in a matter of a day or two. Fantastic service, thanks Shed Cafe. Any weary travellers should stop off here!

The Shed Café Restaurant is located on the highway through Williams and is a great place to stop. I had a steak sandwich which was excellent, though at $26 a bit on the expensive side.

As roadside stops go this place is pretty good - decent food (some great pies) and a cavalcade of nearby shops adds another dimension. You could do a lot worse.
