Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great freshly cooked food. The prawn linguine was delicious as were their desserts. We also had tea and cakes there in the afternoon and they certainly didn’t disappoint either.

Very friendly and efficient service were a highlight. All four meals and 2 shared entrees were very tasty and generous in size. The barramundi was a standout dish. The only criticism was slightly dry meat with the pork belly dish but the flavours were good...and the crackle very crispy. We will definitely be back when next in Esperance.More

We enjoyed both our evenings here. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food fresh and of good quality. Michelle was very welcoming as were the other staff. Centrally located in a historical building. Recommend!

Welcoming atmosphere, with lovely decor - a bar, formal dining, casual seating. Enjoyed a drink at the bar as we arrived a bit early. Friendly staff happy to chat even though busy. Asked for a 'nice table' when booking and provided a cute window nook...overlooking sea view - thank you! Professional, helpful and attentive wait staff who knew the menu (not always a standard in country WA). Prawn linguine was perfect texture with generous coating of flavoursome sauce. Pork belly dish delicious with perfect crackling. Good range of reasonable priced wines, beers, cocktails. Happy to pay city prices for good quality food and services.More

Sensational food. We had the cauliflower croquettes, fish taco's and the prawn linguini. All of it was superb. I think the linguini was about the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and balance of flavours. So good. Oh, and the views are beautiful. The building...is in need of a make-over to match the quality of the food and service, but that's being picky. Congratulations to the chef and everyone involved providing this great service. 10 stars.More

Lovely food in a wonderful venue. We shared four dishes, each was really well done ... and often intriguing. Also being on the Wharf and with the gardens out the front is a bit special. Would definitely go back.

We had such a delicious meal on our first night, that we've just been back for a second evening meal. Stand outs are the the super friendly staff! They are all so warm and welcoming. We believe the leading lady on both our nights is...from Valencia, Spain? An asset to the business without doubt. Amongst the dishes we tried as entrees we tried were. Duck Spring Rolls. Beef Croquettes and Tempura Prawns. Thai Green Curry Barramundi, Red Lentil Curry and the best Steak of a 3 week WA road trip visiting from NZ. That's a seriously nice steak dish......... Lovely Rose wines, it just goes on. Great stuff Taylor St Quarters. Stand out indeed.... Andrew & Val. NZ.More

We booked a dinner here on a Friday night via text message. The building in which the restaurant operates is beautifully restored. The service was very good - helpful and friendly, and the food & drinks menu was also good. The food we had was...excellent, well presented using quality ingredients. The wine list was good and reasonably priced. Overall, we had a fabulous meal here and I would recommend it.More

...... I hate last minute change of plans .... no accomodation, no research ..... their cost of last minute deployment is going to be the best restaurant I can find. I typed in Esperance top 10 restaurants while i ride shotgun with the tech ...........and the universe smiled on us revealing Taylor St Quarters sensing the decor/photos/menu et al. Last minute.com, a prompt return sms confirmed we could get a table 'early' ... suits me fine. The restaurant is a refurbished character building, which took a little finding .. you would think #1 would be next to #3 ... but it is delightfully situated on the water front, extensive parking. First impressions .. classy ... and that crispness to the decor that gives one confidence. The maitre 'd is .... a young woman with a direct no nonsense aire ... which is fine .. i have just driven 7 hours. We are ushered into an elevated front light filled room, with an outlook ... tables nicely spaced .... tho our small round table is pushed uncomfortably tight into an internal corner window nook (sound of moving furniture ... as two men 'make/take space) There are no shortage of waitresses this early in the evening. A cheerful, confident young Californian adopts our table, and talks us through the menu sussing out our epicurean aspirations ..... and to our disappointment at being in a renown fishing town .. and the fish offer is Barramundi ?... by my estimate, 4000km food miles ? ... and lemon prawns from Shark Bay 2000kms .... The solution she offered with a gotcha smile, was the cerviche of .. wait for it .. Gummy shark ?? Im thinking fish & chip shopesque ... but she is confidently reassuring ... Im doubtful ! .... they could have at least given it an. exotic French name ;) ... which we pair with a beef tataki and foccacia ... and Margaritas of various persuasions ...... and food and cocktails re fabulous The upside of my Esperance posting was to be .. 'the seafood'. ... because i enjoy a crisp riesling or ssb with it ... the wine list was not extensive ... but competent .. and we settle on a Cheribino .... which was price effective Entres where a success .... mellow ... tired .... and tomorrows job plans resolved, .... mains ? .... We are sold the Barramundi .... and the pork ... both magnificent . Both eyes and bellies drooping ... we have had a wonderful first night in Esperance . This restaurant is well worth your consideration .. as we have doine the research for you ! ...enjoy Ulysses42More

We had dinner at Taylor St Quarters and had a very enjoyable evening, the restaurant is tucked away adjacent to the Esperance Bay yacht club in an old house with large sweeping verandahs. The menu features locally sourced seafood and produce and the food we...ordered for entree and main course was fabulous, complemented by a wine list with a number of local wineries from the Great Southern region, which as visitors we also enjoyed.More
