Bought local Red Emperor & Chips. Fish size a bit disappointing but lots of chips. Much cheaper than Fish Face up the road but maybe a slightly inferior product. Long wait too but I think they are short-staffed. OK takeaway option.

Quick service. Tasted good but a couple of bits of fish were a bit dry. Would try again. Word around town was it was the best in town

The wait time was about 15 minutes, so very quick. I got the snack attack and it was cooked perfectly.

Waited 55 minutes for some fish and chips, crab sticks and squid. The serving size for the chips was so dismal that I had to pay an extra $8 for an additional tiny serving. The fish tasted as if it had been microwaved and was barely edible. Crab sticks were most definitely contaminated with some sort of disease and no one wanted to touch them. Chips were well below average. Whole establishment was dingy and the staff were unpleasant. 0/5 would not recommend to anyone unless you want to be severely ripped off and disappointed.

While we were in Esperance we visited this fish and chips place as recommended by a friend and it was very nice. They have different deals and we bought the deal for two people (2 pieces of fish, $3 chips, 2 dim sums, 2 crab sticks and 2 potato fritters) all for $27. You can substitute with something else if you don't like the dim sum for instance with pineapple fritters. Good service and fast. I loved the fish as it was fried in light batter and the pieces were huge!

Great value for money, lovely tasting food! This place is a real gem. OK it has a fairly limited menu I guess compared to most fish n chip shops but what they do they do really well. Best to call ahead and order though as there can be a 40 minute wait for chips at times! They are very popular so very busy, that says it all.

Hot and delicious. Talk about value for money - and so many chips! You can tell how good this restaurant is by how busy they are. I recommend ordering by phone in advance to check the wait time. Service with a smile is just a bonus for this well run establishment.

Sunday lunch fisherman basket was off. Fish dry soggy, chips horrible and the rest tasteless. Left us feeling sick.
This place is understaffed and takes to many orders.

Absolutely disgusting 🤮 food made my whole family sick fish was dry, chips were under cooked nuggets were undercooked

A great spot for fish and chips. Very popular and some wait but well worth it. Sea food is well worth the wait. Good choice from the menu

I googled the best burgers in town and came here… Burgers so big you can just get your hands around and absolutely delicious! We had 3 x burger with the lot and the youngest one had a bacon and egg burger (only got through half) - we didn’t order chips thank goodness because we were all full!!! Highly recommend!!

Was last in Esperance about two years ago and had an awesome fish and chips from here. Couldn’t wait to get back there this trip, and the Red Emperor and chips (with a healthy dose of chicken salt) was amazing again.

so they kinda deep fried a peice of dog poop into my nuggets it was not nice would not reccomend for others but pesonally i would go again just because that dog poo had some nice salt on it
