Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful old pub and town but food and drinks are way too overpriced $14 for a pint and $16 for a kids meal is a bit steep and staff also not that welcoming

Stopped in mid afternoon on a Thursday for a beer and lemon, lome and bitters for the wife. Got a serve of wedges as a snack. Nor sure the cost as wife paid but they were simply the best wedges I have ever had. They were...crisp, well seasoned and hot. The serve was big as well. Only suggestion would be that the bowls of sour cream and sweet chilli sauce could be a bit bigger. Bar staff wer every friendly and the back area was very nice with lovely greenery in pots. A lady was attending this told me it will get even better. We will have to visit again.More

Under new management. Definitely stoked the arrogant bloke who owned or leased the place is gone , place looks happier . The wife had a chicken snitty . Absolutely loved it . The young one had over cooked nuggets and chips tasted oily and for...$16 geeez Louise. I had a steak sandwich that tasted awful , like it was off and left three quarters on my plate. Now I’m nearly certain I’m paying for it today . I thought the waiter may have asked if everything was ok , but nope . Anyways last time for me . Said it a few times .More

Dwellingup is a town in the jarrah forest. It's 110 km (68 miles) from Perth, around an hour and a half by road. The Dwellingup Hotel serves cold beer and hearty meals. The hotel is around 6 km (4 miles) from the iconic South Dandalup...Dam. The Dwellingup Hotel is a good stopover for day trippers. Jarah is a timber that is notable for its durability.More

Not very pleasant at all. Very cold day...we walked in and very cold. Fire wasn't on and not a warm atmosphere. Paid $14 per tap beer even for hahn dry. Food did come out quick but massively overpriced. Paid $26 for what tasted like a...powdery store bought pizza. Won't be coming back again anytime soon. What a shame for country pub expectations. :(More

I have previously had some good times in Dwellingup and enjoyed some fun nights at the pub. Sadly, recent visits have resulted in rudeness from the owner and a ridiculous demand for us to book in before 7pm and then have staff roll their eyes...and be blatantly rude to our large group over who was having various meals. No coffee or desert by 7.30 when we finished our meals because the kitchen was being closed down. No playing pool as the table suddenly couldn't be used, even though it was being used when we arrived and by almost 8.30pm we were effectively asked to leave as they were shutting. Well done guys....Way to ruin an evening, We ended up back at our accommodation as nothing was open. If you want townies to support your economy, don't treat up like we are an imposition.More

It was busy so the wait for food was up to an hour - but they told us up front. But not worth the wait. The pizza was awful- soggy. The chips were awful- soggy. Onion rings OK. Very disappointed as this place used to...be good. The only reason we stayed was for 2 diners to have a beer and wine.More

We stayed at the Caravan Park which is just up the road, found the Dwelly Hotel dining room to be very cosy, the food was very good and the service was also great. Portion sizes are on the large size so make sure your are...hungry. There was a small issue with not being able to watch the WA Derby(Football) but we eventually got to watch the last quarter, the staff member was very sorry he couldnt get it sorted earlier, we thought that was really nice.More

I had dinner at this pub last night and ordered the Chicken Schnitzel with mushroom sauce. It was over cooked, dry and the thickest Chicken Schnitzel I've ever seen. It was at least 3cm thick. I spoke to the waitress and she said that she...would let the chef know. That was the end of it. No reply from the Chef at all. Don't eat here.More

We stayed at Marri Cottage booked though airb+b. There’s camping at LanePoole amazing spot. The pub had a community hotel attached to it but it seemed to have mostly workers staying there.
