Grant (manager) showcases the extensive range of whites/reds and sparkling in a very friendly and informative manner. Excellent prosecco, chardonnay and shiraz (amongst others) but ensure that you taste some of the really good "alternative" Italian varietals - they are really eye openers. But "beware"...- while there is no pressure to but you may well leave with more than a few bottles. We did not buy any of the (takeaway) cheeses etc but they looked good.More

Hi RKandMK, thanks so much for stopping by and visiting our Bright Cellar Door! We're glad you had a great time and enjoyed our wines!

Only excellent wine and cheese will be found at the Billy Button cellar door. Enjoy the best of Bright right here. Delicious and always worth dropping a few extra dollars for another bottle (or two) of wine.

Spent a couple of hours today at Billy Buttons. Wines and Cheese box amazing. Grant is an unbelievable host and was attentive to every person that walked through the door. Wine cellar doors can be stuffy but not here. All wines available (and encouraged) for...tasting. A ‘must do’ when in Bright. Hopefully Grant is working when you go there. Cool music too Kathryn and NikMore

Very friendly and helpful staff, this is the place to go an afternoon tipple and wine tasting. Staff was very accomodating and nothing was too much trouble and service and atmosphere was very inviting.

A small pot of gold in Bright. While they mostly have the incredibly interesting range of Billy Button Wines, you can also access specialty local wines (eg Mayford and others), plus enjoy an amazing international cheese range. Very good value clean skins, plus local custom...spirits. And with knowledgeable, friendly staff. Dont miss this place !More

A brilliant find in Bright. The staff member working was so helpful and poured a generous glass of bubbles and wine. We ordered a cheese platter that had so many delicious goodies and was incredible value. Would definitely recommend.

We stopped by here on the recommendation of the Bright information centre. The location opposite the park and the river was pleasant. The jibes from some seated patrons about “Push the door” not pulling the door when we were checking how many people were already...inside before opening the door wasn’t a great start. My partner, who has an Asian appearance, went back in to order a second glass. The server never bothered to acknowledge that he was there. The server went to serve a table. When the the server came back to the counter another older white lady came up to the counter, and he immediately went over and served this lady completely ignoring my partner. By this time several minutes passed, he finally got served without any acknowledgement or even being spoken to during the whole uncomfortable silence. If you aren’t white Caucasian don’t bother coming to this place! For a beautiful tourist town with a lot of Melbourne tourists, racism like this should not be tolerated!More

Not a winery as such, a cellar door only - but a great one, possibly the best I've experienced either in this country or Europe. The tasting card lists dozens of labels, many of them interesting, unfamiliar European varieties grown locally and you are free...to taste as many generously poured sips as you like. The friendly, knowledgable staffer (standing in for the proprietor on a Monday) quickly honed in on what I liked and produced alternative options as well, complete with interesting chat about them. Eventually spent the rest of our afternoon sitting outside with a bottle of an Italian white and a snack platter and couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. An absolute must-visit.More

Delicious range of wine, including many not often produced in Australia. Staff are super friendly and make the tasting even more enjoyable. We left with about 12 bottles, mostly different varieties.
