Lovely setting. Fresh food. Had the tasting menu. Highly recommended. The one point off was for the owner reprimanding his young waitress publically. The reason, pouring more of the 25 dollar a glass champagne then she was supposed to. Really, there was no need to do that publically.

Attended for Easter Sunday lunch on 16th April. From the time we arrived it was a great experience. The friendly, well informed staff, the ambience of the restaurant (recently extended to a high finish). Due to Easter they offered a degustation menu and literally every course was as good as each other. Spring rolls, squid, caramelised pork, prawns...and the deserts,... More

This restaurant in Tanunda is beautiful, it is light and bright and divided into a number of rooms which make the place seem like a collection of private dinning rooms. The wine list is like a museum listing and you probably need a half a day just to take it in. The food is stunning the service great.

Sadly they didn't return my email for nearly a week when I tried to make a booking and that was only after I followed it up with a phone call. We were going to the Barossa for a few days from Sydney so I tried to book the week before and when I hadn't heard from them I called them... More

So. What can I say that hasn't been said about how fantastic and great ferment Asian is. This restaurant is really good. This weekend there was a set menu - with variations. The flavours are fresh and vibrant. There is wow in each dish. Ferment Asian is always busy. That is because the food is wonderful and the service is... More

Great food indeed. Our group of six went with the Chef's selection which included three starters and four mains. The food was presented nicely. The excellent wine list added to the overall enjoyment. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. A really nice night.

Upon recommendation from our hosts at the B&B we stayed at we had dinner here and it was amazing. Once you have tried their spring rolls you will never want to eat any other type of spring rolls again! The pork belly was delicious but the pinnacle of our meal was the Snapper curry, it was amazing. My husband also... More

The chef's menu is presented beautifully & their attention to flavour made this one of my most memorable dining experiences. Staff are welcoming and unpretentious. The restraunt is popular & while we were accommodated without a reservation I will be sure to reserve in the future.

Small seasonal menu of Northern Vietnamese-influenced cuisine. The focus is on local produce, most of which is grown in the family vegetable and herb garden. The business also boasts the most comprehensive wine list in South Australia, with international focus on wines that harmonise with the subtly spiced Asian cuisine. Don't expect to find a large listing of the sweet-fruited highly-charged and alcoholic Barossa Shiraz's, but you will find pages and pages of Champagne, German Riesling, White and Red Burgundy, Beaujolais, as well as the most comprehensive listing of wines from new and exciting local Barossa, Clare and Adelaide Hills producers. A wine pilgrim's paradise established for the local wine making community, many of whom are seen each night enjoying dinner at fermentAsian. Note that the wine list was awarded the top wine list award in Australia in the gourmet Traveller Wine List of the Year awards in July 2016.
