Excellent food. We went on a Thursday night and were treated to trying various meals in tapas style. Staff were great but I feel under the pump, an extra staff member certainly would have helped them. Went with a group of 10 - paying separately...was no inconvenience to staff, more than happy to accommodate. Certainly would highly recommend the great experience.More

I love entering a restaurant and immediately getting the impression that I am going to like it. Sophisticated understated decor, warm when the outside is cool and staff quickly coming to greet you at the door.. A vast wine list, very reasonably priced food. A...Wagyu burger for $25 - perfectly cooked - mine medium hers well done - she declared the best burger she had ever had. We will definitely return to try some more items on the menu. Beer choice was disappointing considering the number of craft breweries in the Barossa now but the wine list will suit any red wine snob at any budget - a Glaetzer on offer at $900.More

Our group of five we unanimous in expressing their complements on the balance of flavours and taste of their individual selections of main courses, particularly the Churrasco Selection which was an overall summary the choices. personally the Lamb Rump was exceptional! The service could not...be faulted, the ambience of the indoors setting was very good, though it was disappointing we couldn't dine outside due to a completely covered area with no direct sun. We will pass on our recommendation to friends and will return.More

A sophisticated vibe at this lovely little restaurant. What a joy to have an interesting menu! We decided to commrnce with local olives and glasses of local riesling and rosé. Spatchcock was juicy and served with a variety of mushrooms and truffle flavoured polenta shards...and grilled prosciutto. The service was attentive. Not to be missed.More

A friend and I dined here for lunch. The food here really is a cut above. The chicken and prawn dumplings were amazing, calamari fritte really good, and the lamb rump with baba ganoush was fantastic. All was cooked perfectly and the service was terrific....I look forward to coming back!More

Do not do it to your self, there are better options. We booked this restaurant for a group of 12. 6 out of 12 guests ordered steak. All complained the steak was cold, as were the accompanying vegetables. Of the 2 who ordered lamb, one...was inedible and the other was chewy and cold. Most of the group persevered with their meals as we had waited such a long time for them and were quite hungry. One person ordered a burger which was still quite frozen in the middle. We did complain numerous times about our meals and the best the restaurant offered was to take one lamb dish off the bill. In actual fact, most of these meals were not of restaurant quality and we felt ripped off. We paid $800 for barely edible food. The service was slow but I don’t want to blame the young ladies who were doing their best - without any real supervision or direction. I’m not sure who owns this place but they are doing a very poor job! On offer is an expensive meal without service and quality to justify the price.More

Someone needs to inform the Char Barossa what the difference is between an entree and a main course - the amount I received as a main course gnocchi was a joke, three table spoons for $30.00.More
