Our first visit to Vino Lokal was an occasion to remember. The setting is charming, the staff are friendly and so knowledgable about the wines they have on offer and the chef's selection lunch for 11 of us was simple, yet fresh and appealing. The dishes were presented beautifully and the tastes and textures were wonderful. It was a generous and delicious feast.

We were so lucky to be able to dine at this beautiful restaurant, getting a seat at the bar. This turned out to be such a positive experience as we chatted to the staff and local diners. My husband and I shared all our meals, which the chef must have heard about because he divided our pasta dish without us asking. The local couple had ice-cream on the delicious apple tart and we were offered the same. The staff were wonderful in selecting wines for my husband. Make sure you book so you don't miss out on this fabulous dining experience!

We stumbled across Vino Lokal on our second night and so glad we did. They weren't doing dinner that night so we booked the next night. We love Apothecary in Adelaide and this place had a similar vibe. Booked ad received prime table by the window. Great wines and the menu was inspired. Tiny number of tables. Never thought that I would order fried chicken in a fine dining restaurant but it was incredible and risky type of menu item that most chefs would never attempt! Only blip on an otherwise fantastic night was with the bill. The waitress saw me studying it closely and asked if there was a problem, there was as they had not charged us for our drinks. They were mortified but we felt better for pointing it out as would have felt guilty otherwise. Will defiitely return on next visit!

What a gem of a restaurant!
Great understated venue - relaxed but quality and offering warm hospitality.
The chef produces the most delicious food. We loved Chef Ryan’s ragu with locally foraged ingredients and all of his other dishes.
Cam was our sensational sommelier. We enjoyed the best wine tasting experience ever and loved him selecting our wines which were based on our stated preferences. So much fun and the wines were all compelling.
Vino Lokal is model hospitality.
Great for a casual lunch or more substantial dinner. The wine tasting room out the back is a great option if looking to discover some terrific wines.
Can’t wait to return.
Bravo.

We popped in on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Had a great meal - we had pate and cheese to start. For mains two had the burgers, one had the mussels and I had the pipis with linguine. We all enjoyed our food and in addition enjoyed the wine tasting in the back area afterwards. Service was very good and efficient.

You don’t have to cook complex food to be highly rated. Simple food but well cooked using the freshest of ingredients can just be as exciting. We had the tomato salad, mussels with chorizo, chicken liver parfait and pork terrine and all dishes were just wonderful. Fresh, beautifully balanced and all well made dishes. Then you have the ability to wine tasting to go with the food with highly knowledgeable staff to take you through the experience.

It was Easter Sunday and also our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Vino Lokal saved the day!!
As we all know due to Coronavirus restaurants are closed.... but when we noticed that Vino Lokal had introduced a take-a-way menu we were so thankful.
Food was so amazing and we enjoyed our home celebration.
Thank you so much

Relatively new and a very positive addition to Tanunda with casual but creative and very tasty menu. Ideal if you just want something light to go with their amazing range of regional wine by the glass and no doubt befitting from the new venue for the Artisans of Barossa tasting room out back! I had the sage and anchovy fritters followed by the fried chicken both were outstanding. The hardest part was deciding which of the wines to choose and don't forget to take a look at the specials board.
Excellent fast and friendly service and lots of knowledge about the wine on offer. I agree a little with another review that the number of burgers offered was surprising so for me a couple less would be preferable.

As a cafe open for brekkie and lunch it presents as tasting room. Regardless we had most welcoming servers, some of the best coffee outside Melbourne and very high quality food. The smashed avo might seem pricy but is enough for to, they are happy to split it for sharing, and it was marvellous and well above the typical cafe version.

Vino Lokal and Artesans of the Barossa are co-located now in the heart of Tanunda.
A lovely little restaurant with beautiful, well-priced food (2 entree 2 mains $53). It was delicious. The wine list was extensive.
My only disappointment was a very limited menu, but I’m not sure whether this is because of seating and timing restrictions for COVID.
We went next door for tastings while we were waiting for our table. I think his name was Simon. What a classic!:) His larger than life personality, humour and love of his job was an entire part of the experience. The wines change regularly as they feature different brands.
We will definitely be back.

The food was perfect, the atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The waiters even put on a Basil Fawltey comedy show pretending to not have the wine we ordered and having menus that did not match. The chef even did us a special that was not on the menu. If in the Barossa we would definitely go there again.

Vino Lokal had great reviews and was recommended - what a disappointment. Food presentation was average at best and flavor and quality best described as ordinary. Wine list extensive. Overall a great disappointment

A really good way to do some tasting of local wines in a nice place with great food. Our meal was wonderful. It was nice that they let us have a flight of Grenaches to try before deciding on our wine for the night. Jst misses a 5th star by some inconsistent expertise re the wine and food matching.

We had dinner after a recommendation from the staff of Reislingfreak cellar door. We enjoyed the anchovy with ricotta toast, burrata and the steak onglet. The food was outstanding. If you are in Tanunda, don't miss this gem. Absolutely fabulous food, great wine and cocktails!

Our son took us out to lunch here today. Everything was perfect. I had the mussels the flavours were amazing. My husband had the Angus burger which he loved. There is a great wine list. It’s a small venue in Tanunda but definitely well worth stopping in.
