As locals, my husband and I decided to visit during a child free few hours for a coffee and cake. We were vastly disappointed. The cake, I couldn’t finish. Admittedly, I hadn’t had a lemon rind cake before and it could be me just not...liking this type of cake. However, I know what a good iced coffee tastes like and whatever was put in it I could not stomach. Lovely environment watching the turtles but disappointing that we couldn’t finish what we came here for. The staff weren’t exactly rude, but they weren’t particularly friendly or upbeat either, as you would expect in a tourist place like this. Safe to say we probably won’t be back.More

What an awesome experience and such excellent value. The staff clearly love their job and are intent on making the experience a memorable one. From the cooking demonstration and to eating the produce, to the wine & gin tasting, cheese board & to the take...home treats the whole experience was fun, delicious & informative. Certainly came away full and satisfied. Am keen to share this experience with my friends of familyMore

Commercial forces have overtaken the intimate friendly atmosphere that used to be there. no longer that family run feeling and it's all about flogging the product since Maggie sold out of the business but this life.

I have been many times before and I am sorry to say our experience wasn’t great. Yes it was a Saturday. But that shouldn’t matter. Staff were distracted and disorganised. Obviously there was little to no direction to who had what task. Had to ask...who was serving to gain attention when standing in the ordering area then when purchasing the server (older lady) just passed me the eft machine and then began talking to a team member. When I said thanks have a good day she simply ignored me. This used to be great with Maggie Beer was more Involved but it’s turned into just a tourist attraction with crap service. Whilst it would be normally a must see - I can’t recommend this to my customers when they visit any longer.More

It was supposed to be the highlight of our holiday, our first lunch dining at MB Eatery at Barossa valley didn’t turn out well. I was pretty sick an hour after lunch, stomach pain for the next 3 days. Ruined our 3days Barossa holiday. My...partner was also having diarrhoea, it wasn’t a pleasant experience. We were so upset with the whole situation. On our return from holiday, i contacted the venue and had email conversations with the owner, Ellie. I felt after all the pain we went through the least she could do is to refund our lunch money. But no, She was all silent. The food was good, but i can do without it if hygiene is lacking. Not impressed.More

We were a group so we had the chefs table. Great for groups as lots of share plates just kept coming out. The flavours were all so different and innovative. We were all very impresssed with the quality of the ingredients and the standard of...the food. Every dish packed a punch. I loved that we didn’t know what was coming. No menu just food delivered. A fantastic experience and very reasonably priced at $60 a head. Worth every cent!More

Recently attended the Ultimate Farmshop Experience. I thought this was great value for money with cooking demonstration and tasting, wine and gin tasting topped off with a sharing board and free bottle of wine. For any foodie or Maggie Beer fan this is a must...do. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and you also get a brief history of the farm.More

Had to do this place, I just love Maggie Beer and all that she stands for. When you pull up you are surrounded by birds and gardens galore. The shop itself overlooks a little lake with ducks and you may even see a turtle or...2. The shop sells all of her products and more. Had a blast checking out all the neat stuff she makes.More

I was very happy to be able to get a spot on the Ultimate Farmshop Experience today. Our host was Kylie, she was outstanding. She shared the history of the farm and the products. When she began, she asked about dietary requirements, so when one...of the other people advised they were vegan, Kylie quickly excused herself and returned with more pans and utensils, to ensure no contamination during the cooking demonstration and serving. The food was amazing and being able to sit and watch it be prepared and cooked right where Maggie films was awesome. The other Staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable and keen to ensure everyone enjoyed their visit. I so want to come back.More

I imagine so. There was a sign specifically requesting bookings were needed for groups of 25 or more. The menu isn't huge so even if all seats were taken, the turnaround is reasonable and in that time you can try all the... More
