Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Have been coming here for years but this visit was a true low point. Maybe they are short on supplies on a weeknight? One “special” was bangers and mash - $20. When ordered the price rang up as $24 - and a very ordinary meal....Similarly the “vegetable stack” (also a special) was only roast eggplant and capsicum layered with haloumi. Surrounded by some dried up asparagus it was ok but somewhat oily. Not anything “special” for $21. The worst dish was the half serve of chicken schnitzel with prawn Bearnaise. The “half schnitzel” was the size of a chicken tender and the prawn Bearnaise featured those little shrimps you buy in cans. Meal service was slow and the meals didn’t come out together. Time to find a new regular eatery.More

The Snake pit with the pool table area is a nice place to have a meal and a game of pool. Love the food here too!

We visited for dinner as we were staying at the tourist park down the road. We had read some mixed reviews about the place but we decided to give it a try. Looks like a great local spot with some history but I wouldn’t recommend...the food. We suspect the food wasn’t freshly made as we could hear the microwaves beeping in the kitchen.More

Generous meals, nicely cooked, fairly priced. Great service by Narelle who was working on her birthday! Love an old country pub with creaky boards. Would have given 5 stars if the outside beer garden was in better shape - some of us prefer to sit...outside especially with COVID-19 very much with us.More

We all enjoyed our meals despite seeing some negative reviews on here. Meals we had were roast of the day (lamb); steak burger; chicken stir fry. Staff were welcoming, prices were reasonable and a very pleasant evening was had by all. Are out in the...beer garden as it was a nice eveningMore

Possibly the first disappointing meal at this usually great little pub. Meals took 40 minutes (7 of us) and we were told there was a "big takeaway order" just before us. That order went past us - 5 meals. Considering two of our meals were...serves of fries and the hotel wasn't very busy this meal was too slow. Serve was on the small side (grilled fish and vegetables) and my broccoli was a little brown. Hoping this was just a bad night.More

We had a booking of 8 --18/12/2020 for tea . The rib eye was tough as nails . Two were well over cooked and one was still bleeding . Not that it mattered since they were tough as nails .One lamb roast was certainly not...a lamb .More like hogget. The service was not very friendly and it was a good thing they didnt ask how the meals were. This is sad due to this pub having good meal many moons back. Time for them to think about upping their game.More

Organised a lunch for 6 and decided to revisit The AP. Considering the different meal selections it is a credit to the chef when everyone made positive comments about their food. Meal sizes were generous and service prompt. Good choice of wines and it’s nice...that the bar staff have a good knowledge of local wines- his recommendation was spot on.More

This is an historic and lovely small pub. There’s even a few creaky floor boards in the dining room to remind you. On this occasion the food was a bit so-so. My wife’s grilled fish was bland, while my salt and pepper squid was soggy....The costs were fine and the service was friendly and quick.More

We were advised about a small pub, we popped in to see and ended up having the most wonderful night with the lovely barman, Greg who was incredibly welcoming and locals were great company. Definitely recommend for a local experience

This was a pleasant surprise! No they may not have the finest wine or the best beer on tap but they do cook an amazing meal. It was the old style, salad wasn't in a bowl and full of lettuce leaves and IF you are...lucky you may get a single bit of tomato or cucumber, nope none of that. It was on your plate and full of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, carrot and onion and dressing, you know a real salad! Chips were thick and homemade and the Parma was more than I could eat! The dining room was old fashioned and it was wonderful to find it and glad we stopped and ate there for the night. Oh and no, there is no table service - it's old fashioned!! Walk to the bar and order!More
