Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice place for breakfast. Coffee is good. Service okay. A bit pretentious, but overall lovely. Nice selection of cakes.

Well we would have gone here for a lunch but a little difficult as it’s only open until 12.30 Saturday and closed Sunday! In the Barossa tourist hub? I’ve never heard of a bakery with such ridiculous opening hours!

I recently took a group of Intrepid Travel bicycle wine region interstate visitors to Linke's Bakery. In order to spend more time in Hahndorf (our next stop), they decided to grab a takeaway lunch from here (at my recommendation) rather than have a long lunch...at a Clare Valley winery. When I stepped in and told the staff member there were 10 of us, within seconds another 3-4 staff members came from out the back...all with big smiles on their faces. The service really was excellent and it left my tour group with a positive impression of Nuri and the locals. Great result...and thanks!More

I have eaten here three times when I was passing through for work. There will not be a fourth. The Barossa is an amazing place for delicious, local produce. This bakery fails on every level. First visit I had a bacon and egg muffin. After...a few bites, I threw it out. To my disgust, it was not freshly made, but precooked and reheated. The eggs were dry and rubbery, the bacon was chewy and the bread was gross and doughy. Expensive and inedible. The second time I had a meat and salad roll. Again, quality of the ingredients was not what I would expect in the Barossa. I’ve had better salad rolls from a service station. Finally, today. I decided on a ham and cheese focaccia, which they toasted. Again, the bread was weirdly chewy and dense. There was a very thin slice of ham, a little bit of tomato, cheese and relish. For the toasted sandwich and a bottle of orange juice, (daily juice) the total cost was $17.85! I found that absolutely outrageous for what was, once again, almost inedible. If you’re in Nuriootpa and looking for a nice bakery, do yourself a favour and go 10mins down the road to the Tanunda Bakery!More

Nice enough for breakfast but nothing to rave about and nothing to complain about. It wasn’t really straight forward working out where to sit/stand/order/wait upon arrival. Sausage roll was tiny!!! Bacon and egg muffin was fine. Coffees were pretty good but we were surprised they...didn’t add a honey biscuit on the side to show off their product. The bag we bought of those biscuits was probably the highlight! Yum! Nothing else really distinguished it from any other country town bakery.More

Although there was a great selection of goods, there was nothing our 4 and 10 year olds would eat. Needs doughnuts, plain croissants, toasties

Probably the worse breakfast muffin i have had in recent years... disgusting! The "muffin" was cold, untoasted and without butter; the two "eggs" had obviously been cooked at least an hour before... tough and rubbery and the yolks hard and dry; the bacon overcooked and...burnt. The tomato relish was cheap bulk commercial glug. My suggestion... avoid going anywhere near this bakery until they totally revamp their attitude to food and food service.More

Had a breakfast here recently. It's a comfortable and friendly place to eat. Coffee and food were good but be wary of the coffee cups. They contain a lot less than what you are expecting.

Friendly staff and an interesting array of gifts. We ordered soup of the day ( chicken noodle) with cheesy garlic bread $13.50 and a veggie stack, listed as roasted vegetables on a toasted bun, $14. The soup arrived in a large bowl accompanied by the...bread. The veggie stack was a disappointment. It consisted of a small flat sesame bun with very thin slivers of vegetables and halloumi inside. It looked as if it had been squashed in a sandwich toaster. Not a $14 meal at all.More

Linkes Bakery has always had great “ Word of Mouth” reviews. We were greeted and escorted to our table within minutes even at peak time being lunch. Our order was on the table within 10 min with no mistakes and the order wasn’t a small...one. The area was clean, roomy with the COVID rules firmly in place. Plates and cups were cleaned up promptly with minimal fuss and bother. This Bakery certainly takes the cake “pardon the pun” well done to all the staff and the Bakers.More
