Called for a tasting - great little cellar door with a fantastic young hostess who made us feel at home. The wines were excellent - the Mataro and Tempranillo were the stand-outs for us and we managed to liberate a few bottles (they pretty much...evaporated that night so we had to come back the next day to replace them!). The cellar door is really nice made all the better by the young lady taking us through the tasting. Highly recommendMore

We called in here for coffees and saw that they had scones on the morning tea menu so we shared one serve of these. The coffee was very good and the scones were light and fluffy, they came with plum jam, curd and cream, the...curd was extra good.More

I am the first to admit I have very tiresome food intolerance's. I attempted to discuss my issues when booking, & was assured, "We will find you something to eat". On the day,this took an embarrassing amount of negotiation. All red meat is delivered to...the restaurant marinated. The duck arrives in saline solution, I have an intolerance to histamine in swordfish. Eventually, a small green salad with strips of halloumi was delivered. My husbands lamb chops were minute, my God daughter's halloumi salad was missing vegetables of any form. The Kale was deep fried, along with some tasty potato cubes, the only item on the menu we could highly recommend. As my dessert was delivered, "Who's is this? Are you going to eat this!? the waitress stated loudly. I wish I didn't order the chocolate mousse, it reassembled and tasted much much like nutella. The chocolate sponge was tough,and seemed to have nutella spread on it too. The cheese boards home made crackers were really crumbly & seemed to be created from puff pastry. Drinks were slow in appearing, or completely forgotten. The merlot is recommended. My husband purchased 2 bottles to take home. There were a total of 6 diners in the restaurant at any one time, and 2 waitresses. Unfortunately I left hungry, as did other members of our group. We won't be returning.More

Visited to quaint winery in Montaro yesterday. The wines were amazing. Tasted several wines are there was not one didn’t like. The cellar door service was exceptional. A very pleasant and knowledgeable young man. Came away with a dozen wines. With is rare for us.More

Perfect location for that special lunch. Our large group of friends found this idyllic location,outside under the pergola,surrounded by vineyards and lovely old historic buildings in Mintaro. Great food, superb wines and the service was extraordinary. Check it out you won’t be disappointed.

Because we were staying at Reilly’s Cottages on a Saturday, it was the perfect chance to experience the long lunch on foot. It is a five course set menu with matched wines but they do ask about dietary requirements at the time of booking and...adjust the meal to suit. Our menu will probably not be yours so we should just say we enjoyed everything. The courses were lovely but manageable in size. The wine pairing offered choices for each course, some of them spectacular. The wait staff were very flexible in accommodating one person who only drinks white wine (who probably missed some lovely options). We were able to determine if we wanted a break between courses. Although it was five courses with five wines, we felt well fed but not uncomfortable or even slightly inebriated. Even so, it was great to walk ‘home’. Thank you!More

We called in here on a cold Monday and enjoyed a very delicious lunch in this cozy restaurant. We both had the Bouillabaisse which was simple and fresh as it should be. For dessert I had Poached Pear Frangipane Tart | Goats Chevré Ice-cream with...Honey Butterscotch Sauce and my husband Chocolate Entremet | Shiraz Pressings Gel with Almond Praline. I can’t tell you how divine they both were! Needless to say there were also fabulous wines to choose from. A lovely restaurant which we recommend.More

We shared an enjoyable, relaxed meal and wine tasting in very pleasant surroundings whilst travelling through the Clare Valley. The menu was varied, including vegetarian options which were yummy as well as four or five other main courses. The desserts were great. The entire experience...did not disappoint in any way, the standard was very high. I had difficulty booking via the online reservation site and rang directly. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodated our preferred time. I definitely will return and am happy to recommend.More

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea there yesterday. We shared two platters - each filled with so many flavours - cheeses, chutneys, pickles, marinated olives, sourdough bread, dukkah, - everything complimenting each other! Delicious!! The wonderful young man who served us (sorry we didn't get...a name) was attentive and very personable - we ate outside and he checked on us regularly. He also introduced us to a fabulous wine that we hadn't tried before - a 2021 Saigne'e - we bought 6 to take home.More

The perfect place for a getaway close to all the wineries and attractions yet secluded enough for a relaxing, tranquil getaway in Mintaro. Staying in the Pulford Suite the team at Reilly's attention to detail made it a perfect stay from beginning to end. From...booking, to checking in, keeping us supplied with generous provisions, they make the it just the place to relax and recharge. Our stay ended with a celebration lunch at Reilly's Restaurant. Service was excellent, efficient and friendly . The seafood platters and tuna carppacio were wonderful as were the scones and wine of course. A stay at Reilly's cottages would be highly recommended as would spending a Sunday afternoon lunch at Reilly's Restaurant.More

There was a bottle of the Watervale Riesling in our cottage at the William Hunt Retreat and we opened it to have a glass and finished it without a second thought - it was so easy to drink! So Reilly’s had to be our first...stop on our wine tasting day. As it was the beginning of Gourmet Week, they were serving lunch with a wine flight. Had we not just had a lovely cooked breakfast, we would have been tempted as the food smelled and looked glorious! We did the tasting and sent home a box of wine! What a great start to the day - Justin was lots of fun, and we met everyone else there as they passed through. The wines are delicious, the people friendly and welcoming. Next time, we try lunch there!More
