Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Friendly service with a great wine selection and a bunch of classic pub meals as well as tempting specials. I loved my slow cooked lamb and rosemary pie. Lots of outdoor seating. Absolutely no complaints as thoroughly enjoyed dining here.

So disappointed in the lamb shank meal. Was cold in the middle. Meat did not pull off the bone. Mashed potato was lumpy and uncooked. Been there many times and usually enjoy it however not good this time!

Fabulous food. Great Staff. Huge thanks to Matilde for being lovely, for the rest of the bar staff fitting us in at short notice. Wish it was our local! Some of the best food we had in Aus. And great value. Wishing you all the...best. Many thanks Penny and BobMore

$40 for the cheapest bottle of house red. Probably the most expensive in SA. Be prepared. Overpriced and taking advantage

Ordered the rump steak $37 plus mushroom sauce. I question if it was rump. Very chewy, lacked taste not worth the money, very disappointed. Have eaten here many times but tonight was not happy. Mushroom sauce was gravy with 2 pieces mushroom

Beautiful venue, lovely staff, until I sent the salmon back. 'Blackened' does not mean overcooked, dry and burnt. Very disappointing.

We picked this place because it was pet friendly: nice big space at the back with undercover seating and a good size lawn...and setup for you to take you dog. The service is friendly and pretty efficient. Has a nice choice of beers on tap,...and the food quality is good with generous servings. Three of us had the chicken schnitzel: it was good quality, and nice and thick and juicy...and one had the mushroom schnitzel which was apparently really good as well. Recommended!More

Went there two nights in a row and had great meals both nights. Variety of meals ordered and all were generous and delicious. Have been there before and always had a good meal. Open on a Monday night which is unusual for the Barossa Valley....Best pub in the valley by a mile!More

On the night of our visit The Greenock was packed. This might be because it is one of the few places in Barossa open for dinner Monday and Tuesday, but I think there’s another reason: Great restaurant meals at pub prices. The lamb cutlets were...beautifully cooked and a generous portion. The crumbed steak enjoyed by another in our group wasn’t your average crumbed steak, but rather a thick cut rump, tender and also well cooked. And finally, the schnitzel was huge. I dislike thin schnitzels as they dry out when cooked, but this was a generous thick cut chicken breast. The meals we ordered were all served with veggies which were roasted, not boiled or steamed. So ask for steamed if that’s your preference. While the meals were on par with much more expensive restaurants, it still has a pub atmosphere. Service was much more like a pub - order at the bar. Perhaps the best sign that this place is good is that it was full of locals. Lots of locals. They seemed to love it and so did we.More

Enjoyed a family lunch in this lovely pub on the edge of the Barossa. We were sat near the comfy fireplace on a cold day. We shared a large tasty garlic and parmesan flat bread and the four of us were very happy with our...mains and drinks. Mine was lamb cutlets, a dish you rarely see on pub menus. Service was friendly and prices were fair.More
