Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The food is good quality, th dervice friendly and thr atmosphere a little austere but overall this is a nice place for lunch. I could not lift the food to very good but would have liked to.

Horrid! Waste of $80 each. We choose the Chef's choice at $70 each without drinks or dessert. It was tiny tasters with LOTS of burnt bread. We left feeling hungry and rather angry. Not a nice experience. I would NOT recommend this restaurant. Service was...okay but server gave wrong information on what was in the dish. We went for a birthday lunch and it was a total sad experience.More

Pros: - beautiful gardens/exterior (even though we were inside as it was late June) - lovely bathrooms! - amazing fast service for some hungry travelers - food is fresh and clean (as clean as pizza can be) - quite reasonably priced - plenty of space...between tables and not too noisy even with large groups dining at the same time Cons: - condescending service I’m afraid from the person who confused our booking time and went on to talk to us the entire evening in a high pitch ‘teacher voice’. We’re not children, you stuffed up the booking so a simple sorry would be nice. Don’t use your ‘system’ in place of an apology. - pizzas were fresh and fine, but really lacked any ‘wow’. Quite scant on the toppings too- and while we’re a fan of this, it’s a shame not every piece then gets what’s stated on the menu… quite frustrating when sharing. - a nice casual place for dinner, but has quite a ‘cafe primo’ vibe at night. Especially re. Cutlery on the table in an ikea tin haha! Yikes! We’d skip the pizza night again but would love to try lunch and come when it’s warmer. So not a total write off! Still on the fence.More

We booked a Friday lunch and had the feed me menu. Food was tasty and a great mix of meat and vegetables. Service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back. Only feedback is the feed me menu didn’t have a dessert. Did order a...slice of the Persian cake to go. Was a sensational dessert to eat later that night at home.More

Very unfriendly staff . We visited in a small group of 4 and asked if we could get coffees. There was maybe 3 people in the whole place. We were told all tables were reserved but could get a take away and sit outside. We...ordered out takeaways and then got told to move away from the counter where we were trying to collect our coffees. After finishing the average drinks we noticed there was still no-one in the restaurant - so much for reserved tables. The town is lovely but this place needs a wide berth.More

We had the set ‘quick lunch’, which was available still even though it was a public holiday (Good Friday), so that was good. We give full marks on every tasty mouthful of the pork tacos, the steak and egg dish (with really flavoursome zappy salsa)...the glasses of house rosé and the additional plate of padron peppers that thankfully we convinced ourselves we could manage to fit in!!! They had great peppery punch coupled with sweet pear juiciness. A really clever dish! We can’t be so enthusiastic about the shared salad that was served with the quick lunch - just a bowl of lettuce and onion. We cannot stand Spanish Onion at the best of times, so whilst that is of course a personal preference, we couldn’t believe the HUGE quantity of onion, how that lettuce could be so drowned in oil and how it just showed absolutely no imagination, unlike the other wonderful dishes…..so we wondered if it might have even come from some other kitchen!!?? Anyway, the salad won’t stop us from returning. The place is fantastic and offers such a fun point of difference in the Barossa. And we have to return for some of those eye popping little desserts in the cabinet. They looked amazing!More

Where do we start, El Estanco is one of our favourite restaurants. We drive over an hour to enjoy special occasions here. Having frequented on a number of occasions, we are always welcomed warmly and always love the meals that we are served. Having tried...a number of their dishes, the meals are always prepared, cooked and presented really well and we have never left not-satisfied. There is an ever changing menu of Argentinian fair and the meats served just seem to be cooked to perfection. The only time we have felt disappointed was when we booked for a special occasion, ordered a lamb meal for 4 upon arrival but the kitchen had run out not long after. Otherwise, everything has always been perfection. The location is just gorgeous with both picturesque grounds and buildings, the perfect spot for a lazy lunch, special celebration and also a great place for kids with the outdoor area available for little ones to explore. The desserts are next level and we travel for Cheree's incredible cakes and pasteries, always leaving with a box of sweet things to enjoy on the long ride home. I would crawl over hot coal to her vanilla buttercake with caramel and butercream icing. Unfortunately it doesn't frequent the display case nearly as often as I would like LOL but the persian cake, bread and butter pudding are delicious and the crack pie is one of my alltime favourites! The coffee is also fabulous and we really just can't fault the place. We have always thoroughally enjoyed our time spent here and our tastebuds are always delighted!More

We popped in for Friday lunch with some friends. The venue is spectacular. Outside area was beautiful especially in the sun. Food was cooked to perfection, and such good value for money. Seafood was fresh and the best we have had! Service couldn’t have been...better! Such friendly staff and beautiful couple that own the restaurant (chef and waitress) made the time to talk to our group! We loved it so much we can back the following day for breakfast! Great spot. Warm and welcoming staff, excellent food and coffee. I splashed out a bit on breakfast, so the cost was fine by me and the quality was excellent. The special was all top products from the chorizo, tender steak, half an avoc, egg and...home-made corn bread, and chimichurri sauce. Couldn't fault it and substantial so that I could not fit in one of the delicious looking treats in the cabinet-Damn it!! I will definitely go back.More
