Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Terrible rubbery bacon and egg sandwich. Tasted like the egg, bacon and bread were all microwaved separately and slapped together. I never knew eggs could be microwaved, but there is no other explanation for their rubber like texture. The bacon was warmed and not crispy....Also tasted microwaved. I hate paying for bad food and wasting calories consuming it.More

Beautiful food made the old fashioned way, the way it is supposed to be and great customer service with a friendly lady behind the counter.

Judy Searly welcomed us with a smile and an offer of enticing, home-made food. The sandwiches were delicious, the pumpkin cake to die for and the pineapple strudel that my husband had was a delight. Couldn't recommend it more highly. Lovely outdoor seating with interesting...information about the history of Auburn and CJ Dennis. We'll be going there tomorrow on the way back to Adelaide!More

Can’t imagine this cafe relies on return visitors. Sounds like I’m not the only gullible passer by who sees the enticing sign out the front, gets shafted $6 for a coffee and winds up throwing it out. We bought 2, paid $12, my wife threw...all of hers out and I managed to stomach half of mine. I’m not gonna bother wasting much more time on this review, it’s pretty obvious they don’t bother reading them.More

We stopped in Auburn for lunch on our way through the Clare Valley and by fluke chanced upon Cogwebs. The cafe serves delicious home style food. We had the toasted ham and cheese sandwich. The thick cut leg ham off the bone and flavoursome thick...sliced cheese in seriously good bread was exceptional.......not your average plastic cheese and white sliced bread! The scones with homemade jam and local Devonshire style cream was so good we nearly ordered another but we were just too full. The coffee was good and service terrific. I loved the quirky decor with its beautiful photographs and photography books. I highly recommend this cafe, well worth a visit!More

We stopped off here for coffee, scones and jam and cream. We were disappointed that they had run out of cream, but the coffee, scone and jam was still good.

“Seriously good coffee” the sign outside promised. It wasn’t. Perhaps the worst I’ve ever had. If we’d not been 5km down the road by the time I tasted it, I’d have been asking for a replacement or my money back.

Popped in for coffee and yummy scone jam and cream. The lady was lovely and the cafe was quaint. The coffee was from Clare and was very nice.

I walked into this cafe hoping for a good coffee... which the signs outside promised. I think the word BEST was used. I paid $6 for a coffee, took a sip and threw it out. I should have known. The person who made the coffee...had no idea what they were doing. Did not flush the heads, burnt the milk and over poured the shot of coffee. If you are going to make claims about how good your coffee is, at least know what you are doing. Will not be going back....More

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about local walking and cycling tracks. The home made food was ok - very limited offerings. Being on the main road was noisy.

Coffee terrible, worst I’ve had in Australia, don’t even try. Yes it was at least hot, but not drinkable. Cold inside, weird interior.

What a find! Simple, mostly home made fare at a very reasonable price. Nothing fancy, just good quality produce food and friendly helpful advice and service from the lady owner who takes the trouble to source the best available produce. Good rapport and sense of...humour too. Great location for cyclists at the start or end of the Riesling trail, it is handy for motorists too being on the main road with easy parking. Seemed to be a hit with the locals too. No toilet facilities but clean and functional public loos available 50yds down the road. Visited twice.More
