Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We found all Staff to be most welcoming and accommodating. We had young children with us and they loved the lawned area. Food came out in a timely manner and was very nice. We enjoyed our whole experience and will certainly be back. Thank you

We stopped here for lunch with friends and all had different meals. The layered salmon and pappadams was inspired and tasty and reasonably priced. The bruschettas were soggy and poorly presented and the The Barossa Tasting Platter at $33 was very overpriced, given that most of it was bread and garlic bread and toasted croutons bread, with only a few smallgoods - the proportions were all wrong.
Would not recommend for lunch, maybe stop for coffee as the aspect was delightful.

The spaciousness, setting and prompt service here, keep us coming back, to enjoy a very good menu.
This has become even more appealing since Covid, as we prefer to avoid small restaurants. Here you can choose from well spaced seating inside an extremely large room, to vineyard and hill views from the verandah or deck outside.
Along with a daily special or three, there’s an all day breakfast menu, (we love their Eggs Benedict), as well as a range of entrees and main meals.
On this visit I had my personal favourite, the Mango Glazed Pork Fillet, filling even as a small serve, (though there’s a main on offer too), with bok choy, sweet potato curls and just the right amount of mango & sweet chilli sauce.
My husband enjoyed his tasty & very filling plateful of two Lamb Shanks with roast vegetables and mashed potatoes.
Though we had no room for dessert, the range of cakes did look delicious.
Friendly service, good food and great views - delightful!

This establishment is in a very nice location and the surrounds are certainly well cared for. Staff were friendly enough. Our meals sounded great on paper but were a little disappointing when they made it to the table. Chicken and king prawn Kiev with battered sweet potato chips sounds like a great combination if executed well but unfortunately the chicken was overcooked, meaning the prawns inside were also dry while the sweet potato chips were less than al dente at best. The accompanying small salad was fine. The mango chilli pork seemed to be missing the mango whilst overflowing with a bottled sweet chilli sauce. The pork, however, was very nicely cooked. All the elements of a great cafe are there, just a lack of attention to detail. Coffee was average to good but the iced coffee was excellent!

Ate here on a quiet Sunday. We've had many, many lovely lunches in the Barossa. This was not one of them.
The staff were hopeless: forgetting to give us menus; bumbling about looking lost; delivering plates ages apart (in each course we waited at least 15 minutes from when the first person's meal was delivered until the last person had their food in front of them); we had to request our plates be cleared well after we'd finished and the table was never fully cleared; we waited 45 minutes for our main course; we were never checked on or offered dessert/coffee/more to drink.
The food was ordinary: very strange menu with an odd mix of cuisines; a steak ordered medium-rare arrived medium-well; everything else was just okay; a strange sprinkling of uncooked, undressed baby spinach on hot mains; balsamic drizzle as a plate decoration (why?!) when it did not go with the food.
Considering the location price point, I'd also expect decent wine glasses and fabric napkins.
My family wasn't keen to make a fuss so I acknowledge that we didn't give the kitchen the opportunity to fix things for us but I leave this review to save others the hassle and disappointment. Just not at all worth it - there are so many lovely places to eat and sit in the Barossa Valley. Give this one a miss.

We booked a family lunch to celebrate our Nanas 86th bday. We tossed so many curve balls..from arriving early..to menu changes to late additional guests. The wonderful staff did not blink. Food was excellent..atmosphere was relaxing..all i can say that it was better than what we expected. Thank you..one very happy birthday girl...

Lunch was included as part of our Barossa Tour. A choice of offerings but my wife and I selected the slow cooked lamb shank for main course. We started with a small antipasto selection, tasty, and enough to whet the appetite for more. Our lamb shanks were perfect, meat falling from the bone, tender, tasty and accompanied by a nice assortment of vegetables. A tasty coffee to finish. Drinks available for purchase but there was still more of the day ahead.

The staff were friendly, they were more than willing to provide 2 different Gluten Free meals and the freshness and taste was just wonderful; outstandingly good. We told them to not lose the chef.
We are going back with friends for the all day breakfast.

Made a booking a month before the date we wanted for 15 people seated on the verandah. I confirmed the booking 2 days before for 15 people seated on the verandah.
When we arrived we were seated on the lawn under some trees mostly in the sun. We asked for some umbrellas to shade us but were told they didn't have any. They had recieved another booking for 50 people so we were bumped off of the verandah for them. They did offer to squeeze us in at the other end if the people there were willing to move.
We left very unhappy about the way we were treated.

Good food, great service. Went at the start of a week and was quiet. Staff was few but very attentive. All were happy with the food. Good selection, all day breakfast and kids menu was brilliant. Was made to feel very relaxed even though our booking went a bit later than expected. Highly recommend.

This is one of the most picturesque places to eat in the Barossa area, hence a regular recommendation to others who visit the area. I came with a friend and we sat outside...lovely. It was a little busy hence there was a delay in us receiving our meals. My Salt and Pepper Calamari was disappointing, the crumb was a little soggy/ doughy . Prices here are generally more than I prefer to pay, but I do enjoy the vista, so I thought it would be good for a treat. Perhaps another meal another day and I would be happier.

Booked for 5 people at noon. Seated promptly and told that our wine order would be taken soon. Waited 10 minutes and nothing, so I went to the bar and ordered. Was told that drinks would be brought out. Waited another 10 minutes hand had to go and remind them. In the meantime, lunch order was taken. When drinks did arrive, we were told that they had run out of Chardonnay. What??? in the Barossa? how is this possible? Waited 1hour and 20 minutes for first mains to appear - had to follow up on the order. Last mains (fish) were served after first mains came out - what does that tell you? Fish mains weren't even cooked until other orders delivered. Staff were all over the place - very poorly coordinated service. Meal quality was average. Give this place a miss. Restaurant was half full and they couldn't cope. Will never be back here again. I did express my disappointment and was told "I'll let Chris know". I have no idea who Chris is, but he/she needs to get out more and see how real restaurants are run.

I was on holiday in Adelaide and my family took me here as a treat, as their previous experiences had been so positive. Not enough staff, our choices were "off the menu" or not available, poor, slow service because of lack of numbers and the food was "average", to be generous. My family have vowed not to go back. Such a shame.
