For Breakfast at Yeppoon before driving South to Gladstone I chose 'Food for Thought' cafe. Its has a no frills decor but serves good quality food and is run by a couple who obviously enjoy what they do. The walls are adorned with photos from their travels around The Capricorn Coast. Eggs benedict with leg ham was beautiful. Eggs cooked perfectly and the leg ham was great. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed this place, it catered for them little fussy eaters really well :)
The food was really well presented and cooked to perfection, and there is good menu choice . The service was with a smile and very friendly, and very happy to help.
The cafe isn’t as posh as some of the other places in the street, but don’t let this put you off, it excels with the quality of the food and service they provide 😍.

Thick cut bacon, perfectly cooked. Having eaten at three other breakfast recommendations for Yeppoon first, I wish we found this one first. It’s not got the ocean views nor hibbie vibe that many look for however it beats all those restaurants in town with best value and quality food with great service speed and awesome coffee as well. Great if you’re just wanting a great big breakfast at the best price I have seen in years.

Food is hot, freshly made, so sometimes alittle wait. Pet friendly as there is seating outside and no frills air conditioning seating inside. Great service always, slower when busy but that’s everywhere. Home cooked lunch options with a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Great breakfast options all the standards and some have variations. Well looked after !

Great service, very good coffee & the Big Breakfast was big.
The poached eggs were cooked to perfection, & the bacon was thick cut and soooo tasty. The price was a couple of dollars cheaper than some of the other cafes.

We ate breakfast here a couple of times during our Yeppoon stay. The service and food was amazing. Very friendly lady who I assume is the owner. Wide menu variety and Salmon with poached eggs, avocado and hollandaise sauce was to die for. Great cold milkshakes and smoothies. Would happily revisit.

Enjoying a morning out in Yeppoon and I must admit that Food for Thought was not our first choice. So many 'trendy' places to eat along the main street but all were very busy with no seating for us. So, we headed over to Food for Thought and - wow - it is amazing!! Friendly service, strong coffee and delicious food (the poached eggs were perfectly cooked). We sat outside and enjoyed the cool breeze, the lap blankets were such a nice touch. We will certainly be back.

Back again for breakfast. All the staples ! Asked for a different breakfast other than the menu and they obliged. Quiche, Chicken, Fish & Lamb Shanks where on the menu for lunch today. Very popular in the mornings and lunch. Great place ! Will be back !

We had a great breakfast today. The owner was attentive, served us quickly despite being near capacity, and was very friendly.
I had Eggs Nicolas (a made up dish named after their son), my wife had Scrambled Eggs. Both were very good. Coffee was great too. We’ll be going again for sure.

Small business with great service and great food. Only had breakfast, Smoked thick Ham, Eggs poached, sausages and tomato prepared perfectly to you taste. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced. Photos on the walls of the local area attractions, just ask and they will help. Seating inside and outside, no frills.

Called in for coffee and was tempted by the date and orange cake which was delicious. The coffee was very good too. The service was fast and efficient.
