Great food and service in a casual environment. I have been to the Waterline a number of times over the years and never been disappointed normally when stopping off at the marina on our way to Hamo. This year our trip on the sea was cancelled at short notice due to COVID so my wife and I are doing a road trip to Port Douglas. We decided to stop in Yeppoon on the way north and come to the Waterline. The staff were very attentive, the menu presented a great variety including some nice Asian options and the food was very good all at a reasonable price.

We've just returned from a week at Pumpkin Island and we pre-ordered the lunch & dinner package for 7 days from The Waterline Restaurant - and it was all fantastic. The meals were all so wonderfully delicious. Everything was so clearly marked and all just ready for you to bbq/assemble. We loved the sushi, prawn sliders, teriyaki burgers, Banana Station steaks and the salads and vegies were great too. If you're going to a nearby island, rental property or out on your boat, I totally recommend ordering your food to go from here. Absolutely fantastic food and service! Thanks Waterline

We had a big group of 18 people which included a couple of kids. The staff we lovely and very prompt.
The food was well priced and the kids played in the playground while we enjoyed the live music. Beautiful afternoon at a great venue with friends.

The male checking in clients was very abrupt and unfriendly. He couldn't find our booking and his attitude implied it was our fault.
Service was very slow, we waited more than 15 minutes to be offered a drink even though the restaurant was half empty.
The meal I tried to order was not available. It would have been nice to have been informed of that earlier.
The fish I ordered was dry and rubbery. No apology was offered by the male on the desk, just said he would inform the chef.
I ordered dessert with coffee. Dessert arrived more than 10 minutes after the coffee.
The only good thing about the visit was the eye fillet which my partner ordered . He said it was excellent.

This restaurant catered our 3 days of meals to Pumpkin island. The food was extraordinary - lots of variety, fresh, provided in such a way to minimize prep during your vacation and appropriate quantities. I would definitely recommend using this venue to cater your Pumpkin Island experience. The only change that could improve the service is more detailed prep instruction - at times we were guessing what to do with some elements of meal.

A few friends and I came for a few drinks and tapas.
We waited to be seated for about 10 minutes and had to actually ask if we could be seated. We then waited another 20-30 minutes for a drinks order to be taken. Again I had to ask for someone to serve us. The drinks then came out wrong.
We ordered both pork and vegetarian spring rolls. When the food arrived we were not told which was the vegetarian option and when asked, we were told the wrong thing. So the vegetarian bit into the pork spring rolls. Luckily the food option was a choice and not a strict dietary requirement.
The food looked amazing but was not as stated on the menu and lacked taste.
The venue is amazing but everything else was just average.

Over a period of 4 days I enjoyed 3 mouthwatering breakfasts being a huge fan of the scrumptious cold smoked bacon. The rolling tapas all afternoon, 1pm to 4pm on both Saturady and Sunday, proved to be incredibly popular with my guests. The Banana Station steak in the sliders just was so full of flavour and simply melted between the teeth. The crispy fried beef strips in sticky red vinegar sauce served in lettuce cups were so tasty and the salt & pepper calamari devine. The staff coudn't have been more helpful, Grace in particular who was super flexible and provided faultless service. I couln't recommend the Waterline more highly for any event you may wish to host.

Seafood does not get fresher and sublime than what was served to us. Keppel Bay Bug Dumplings ($16) melted in your mouth and my laksa ($28) was flavourful and full of seafood it was like a delightful surprise in each spoonful. My husband had the fillet steak and seafood, he was very happy too. The staff are friendly and prompt. Pleasant atmosphere as the sunset, no dress code. You may find yourself having a food coma.

We had a disappointing experience here. We went for dinner. After waiting a very long time for our meal our entrees arrived, followed very quickly before we had finished, our main meal arrived. I ordered grilled snapper which was overcooked and dry. My husbands main meal was luke warm and some elements of the meal were cold. It seemed as if it had been left sitting on the bench for a while. The highlight and strengths of this restaurant I feel are the Asian influenced entrees.

We went expecting the usual club food fare and were surprised by a unique menu. Being Tuesday we were able to select from the Street Food section available Monday and Tuesday. Fresh, tasty well presented, and generous portions, excellent!
It was very busy but the very efficient wait staff found us a table and we received our meals in good time
If you come to Yeppoon you must eat here.

Loved everything about this place. The food was exceptional! Highly recommend the eggs benedict with smoked salmon and the Cowboy's benedict was fantastic...and filling! The service here was super friendly and efficient and the coffee was heaven too. We will be back!

We count ourselves fortunate to have found this gem of a restaurant. After sampling the breakfast menu where the “Cowboy Benne” was amazing we booked again to try the dinner menu.
We were welcomed by Costa who was warm and friendly. He chatted to us about the place and let us know that the beef was supplied by Bannana Station which is only available to this restaurant and usually exported. This explains the amazing flavour! He also guided us on the perfect wine to compliment the meal. The meals arrived promptly by the friendly waitress and we settled in to enjoy dinner and the fabulous location

Just love this place. The staff are always accommodating from Management to wait staff. If you have special dietary needs, these are catered for as well. If it’s a steak, then tuck on in to one that is going to be tender and melt in your mouth kind! This is a gem that only can be found here on the Capricorn Coast......where else can you receive great service and food! Well done Kylie and team!

We visited Waterline for the first time. It is open air, undercover dining. At first we were quite cold and the waitress kindly moved us closer to the gas heater. You can go to the bar to order meals and drinks or order via the QR code on the table. We wanted to order Gyozo but they weren’t on the QR code menu so we asked the waitress and she stated they must have run out but later we found out they were actually on special. We got no information from the waitress as to what was on special or what the fish of the day etc. We had Karaage Chicken which was pleasant and nicely cooked. I had the Market fish of the day $36 and found the fish over cooked with a sticky, sweet glaze on top which to me didn’t work flavour wise and a lack lustre salad, it didn’t look like the photo presented on the menu. My partner enjoyed Slow Cooked Beef Ribs. Nice wines by the glass. Meals delivered in a timely manner.

We are touring around Oz with our two furry kids and someone recommended this restaurant to us. Seating outside for you and your furry kids, overlooking the Marina, is not to be taken for granted. In two weeks, we visited this place twice for breakfast and once for lunch. My husband ordered the ‘Cowboys Benedict’ and said it was the best breakfast he’d ever eaten and he’s fussy! Great ingredients and the chef finds the best way to combine them all. Huge portions and great value for money. Today we had lunch and I ordered Edamame beans but the chef apologised that he didn’t have any so offered me an alternative at no extra cost. The staff are super friendly and just a great experience all round. Bookings recommended. Photos are of the ‘Cowboys Benedict’ and mine which was a delicious plate of Falafel and Pita - House made falafel, beetroot hummus, avocado, goat cheese, sweet potato, green goddess sauce! Yummy!
