The decor is just fantastic, the views even better. You get to sit by the window and able to see the ocean and the lagoon. Their cheese platter is really exceptional and the price for it excellent. The bar also next to the upstairs cafe. The Restaurant however, has very a limited menu, the restaurant it is on the high price end It wouldn’t kill them expanding the menu a bit. The service is great no complaints about the waitresses. Now I visited the restaurant on a Sunday for dinner not many people... and we ha a table for three(my son’s birthday) and our food took longer than what I thought it should take for that amount of people in the restaurant. Other than that the experience was good. We continue to visit the bar but no the restaurant until we see new items in the menu, although I don’t discourage people visiting as the menu may be to your liking.

On arrival at the restaurant we were greeted by the hostess and asked if we would like to have a drink in the bar before being seated at our table which we did. The Barman asked if were would be dining tonight and created us a table account we started with a cocktail from the extensive wine list which was very reasonably priced. We then made our way through to the restaurant area can I tell you no expense has been spared the decor is Devine we ordered a bottle of champagne ( can I say it’s not much more than if you had bought it yourself at the bottle shop) we had three full courses and food is fabulous the wait staff are attentive but not over the top, the food is gorgeous plentiful and also so well priced. We would definitely recommend this as one of the best restaurant’s in Yeppoon if not CQ. If you get the chance to check it out you won’t be disappointed.

Having visited Yeppoon countless times since our honeymoon in 1983 we are pleased to announce it has come of age with great food and a wonderful venue. An impromptu lunch for two by these dedicated foodies, at the ideally located The Rocks Restaurant overlooking the ocean at the impressive Lagoon development, wowed us with its superb food and service. A menu guaranteed to interest the most jaded of palates delivered as promised. House wine to match the food was a pleasant surprise and, having admired other diner's drinks, a cocktail list that deserves further investigation. The chef obviously is highly skilled, energetic and dedicated. His sourcing of local and international marine succulents added an extra note to what were already beautifully sourced and prepared dishes. The staff were attentive and well versed in explaining the nuances of this exciting menu. To cap off a delightful lunch our bill came in refreshingly less than one would expect at less impressive big city restaurants; and by the way don't miss the desserts. They deserve a review all of their own.

Wow from the moment we were greeted upon arrival at the door until we left the service at this beautiful gem was outstanding. Super stylish and located on the lagoon beside the ocean there is no better way to relax for dinner. The cocktails 🍹 were cheap and cheerful the menu choices although not extensive allowed enough choice to keep most people extremely happy - for my personal choice I would have liked to have seen a vegetarian / vegan main dish as well. The flatbread with the house smoked butter was simply sensational and even though I’m not a great seafood eater the barramundi was amazing melted in my mouth. Presentation is key and the Rocks has this down pat with all the right touches - their biggest asset aside from the location is the staff without exception they were all happy efficient and professional ensuring that the entire dining experience was memorable ! Well done The Rocks Yeppoon keep up the great work !

Today me and my wife visited the Rocks restaurant, there seems to be 4 parts to this business , a cafe , a milk bar , a bar and a fine finning restaurant. Now I have to say the fine dining restaurant is fine fine dining the food was fantastic and the service matched the food great! I had for my entree Qld king prawns , my wife had the crab and pork dumplings , as we ordered two separate dishes we sampled each other’s and I have to say both were delicious. Mains I had the pork cutlets , they were more than just cutlets, well cooked and juicy , well done to them, my wife had barramundi, my wife is Filipina so is fussy about her fish, but she remarked this was beautiful, the atmosphere is great , we were sat by the window which has a beautiful view over the lagoon pool and then over the Keppel islands just stunning. The restaurant has a modest wine list but it’s enough to choose a nice bottle , beer both on tap and bottled a good range also😀I well done to management and staff for making an enjoyable lunch, My suggestion is to also visit Great Keppel island while in Yeppoon

Beautiful decor, comfortable seating, very good service and freindly staff. Food very good but dissapointed in having to order vegetables separate to the main course. All vegetable selections were one vegetable only. If you wanted carrots and greens with your main you would need to purchase 2 extra dishes.

The venue and staff were great, however the food portions were amazingly small. I ordered the roasted scallop's as an entre and received 2 tiny scallops on a large shell on a even larger plate on a bed of hard gravelly rice/pebbles. The Flank steak was my main and again a kid size potion with 3 small half potatoes, Nothing else. The food was tasty but at kid size portions were very expensive. If you go there make sure you have a Big Mac first! Wont be back!

Visited The Rocks with family and friends for a 30th and was extremely disappointed. We asked a staff member to clear our table from the previous diners (which should automatically be done anyway) and this was greeted with annoyance. After a few hours of us dining and spending $600-$700 in the bar on food and beverages we were asked to leave by security as the same staff member put in a complaint against our group. She had walked into the middle of our group to clear the tables and walked into a joke being told. The whole group laughed at ‘the joke’ and the staff member took offence and ‘assumed’ the group was laughing at her. Instead of coming to the group and discussing this, we were asked to leave. When I approached management about the situation it was basically ‘too bad, so sad’. Poor management skills, will not return again. Thank you for taking our money and ruining a good night.

Between 7 of us, we had an awesome dining experience. This is a must do when you visit Yeppoon. Bookings in advance is a must to avoid disappointment. They are that busy! Was up here for our wedding & mother inlaws 80th. Spent between three 7 of us about $500. Average mains are $40, but the "smalls" with a "snack" & side is filling & can come out at same time. Check the menu out before going if you have time to get the best combo. I had the small scallops, small wage beef & cabbage. OMG... The scollaps are raw but delicately delightful. The Wagu beef is char grilled & looks like barely nothing in the plate, but pastured with the chat grilled cabbage in their special oil is a tantilising heaven for your taste bugs. The time taken for waiting service to meals coming out was pretty good considering how busy it was. Our French waitress was absolutely lovely. A credit to the establishment. One of the other waitresses at the beginning of our visit was ignorant to my hails twice, resulting in me going over to their station just to get some drink menus as we needed to view them a little longer.. This is the only minor one time critique I had. Thank you so much for a lovely dinning experience & will definately come again next time we are up this way.

Thank you to the staff and chef/s for our wonderful dinner last night. It was our first visit to the restaurant and we were very impressed. The welcome, the food, the service and particularly the staff who were so helpful when we had one of our group experience a digestion problem we say thank you. Also a very special mention to the French bar and waitstaff - both of you were exceptionally kind. Thank you and we look forward to returning soon. 🤗🙏💕

Omg, who would believe that such a unique place existed in Yeppoon. My partner and I were totally blown away with the whole venue. The staff were very welcoming and every dining detail was perfect, the food is first class and the staff could explain everything on the menu. Full credit goes to the very talented chef and his team. Can not wait to come back to this secret slice in paradise.

Quality dining experience overlooking the breathtaking lagoon at Yeppoon. The Rocks is very tastefully decorated with a small but interesting ‘modern Australian’ menu. As you are situated right on the water, we decided to try seafood- I had King George whiting, my husband the fish of the day- local snapper. Both very well presented, delicious meals and we shared a side of potatoes. Wine available by the glass or bottle, and while the meals are the price you would expect to pay for a restaurant of this calibre, the drinks are reasonably priced. Wait staff were excellent. For a special occasion or treat while on holiday I recommend here.

Wow!! What a superb restaurant. We went for lunch to celebrate a 94th Birthday with the girls. Three of whom are in their 90’s. We loved everything about it. Yes it is on the expensive side but the ambience and view are worth every bit if it. The meals were delicious but the thing I loved the most was the attentiveness of the maître d and waiters. We were met by the maître d at the bottom of the lift holding it for us to all get in, wishing the birthday girl best wishes and the day just got better. Extremely professional and friendly experience. Highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions. You won’t be let down.

We went out for dinner with our family. We probably were a bit underdressed for the venue, as we just travelled 7 hours back from Airlie beach... The waiter welcomed us and brought us to the table which overviewed the open kitchen. We ordered entrees and mains and kids meals. The food came out fast. The flatbread, buffalo mozzarella and beef dish was delicious and beautifully served. The kids meals was genouresly sized for my 11 and 12 year old boys and after they got a complementary icecream. The pina colada Mocktails for the kids looked super delicious. Our Main coral troat and beef eye fillet and pasta was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Staff was friendly and professional. Always made sure that our water jug was full. Thank you.

My friends and I were visiting Yeppoon for 8 days and after enjoying the lagoon we decided to have some cocktails & tapas upstairs. After being greeted by a hostess she answered the phone where we were left standing for a few minutes. No idea if we were going to be seated or what… cocktails were great. Food was average and left a lot to be desired for considering the view and price. Returned today for lunch hoping to be welcomed despite our previous visit. The hostess was as even ruder compared to our earlier visit. After letting the hostess know her service made us unhappy she laughed. The middle aged blonde woman should not work in hospitality. Laughing at some ones discomfort is not acceptable. It’s a shame such a beautiful establishment employs staff with poor hospitality skills.
